The second FD92 was built on spec. and has recently launched from the Horizon shipyard in Taiwan. She is currently en route to the U.S.
The exterior lines were designed by Cor D. Rover; the FD92 is built upon an extended FD87 hull platform but is distinguished by a tri-deck design that offers both an interior sky lounge and a lightweight carbon-fibre flybridge.
The yacht accommodates a total of five staterooms, including a full-beam, on-deck master stateroom with a his-and-hers en suite bathroom and plenty of storage.
The main deck has a traditional configuration with the main salon aft and formal dining and galley amidships. It features a day head aft, a leather L-shaped sofa with freestanding chairs, and a coffee table. Forward, a convertible table can be expanded for formal dining or folded into a sofa table or breakfast bar to maximize space. The fully equipped galley can be separated from the salon via privacy doors and features an artistically styled Hi/Lo island partition for ease of service.
On the upper deck, the enclosed sky lounge features a wheelhouse forward and a casual seating area facing a pop-up television and day head aft. The boat deck houses an L-shaped bar with icemaker, fridge, and fixed stools, as well as a Jacuzzi tub with a bar top.
The wide beach club at the stern offers a sofa and bar area with refrigerator, freezer and barstools, as well as a 32” television. The hydraulic Hi/Lo swim platform offers a 2,000-lb capacity and features a built-in shower.
The tender is stowed aft and launched/retrieved by the hydraulic Steelhead davit, and the entire entertainment area can be shaded by sunshades.
Powered by twin MAN V12 diesels and equipped with Side-Power stabilizers and thrusters, the FD92 offers a smooth ride and an island-friendly draft for cruising throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas. The boat is scheduled to arrive in the United States in January 2021.
