The new Hatteras 45 Express with Bridge Option just came out of the paint shed at the Hatteras Yachts factory in New Bern, NC.

The Hatteras Yachts R&D team kept the original boat's proven hullform, large cockpit and generous interior, and added a flybridge with fully equipped upper helm, two chairs and lounge seating. The Palm Beach-style upper helm on the new 45 Express with Bridge Option has power-assisted steering for nimble maneuvering when there’s a fish on the line. Other key features include single-lever controls, engine instrument panel with audible warning system and systems monitor display panel. Neutral interlock switches allow the twin Cats to start in neutral only. The sleek helm panel design includes plenty of room for a large, easy-to-read, multifunction display. The upper station also has an ICOM VHF, digital depth and temp. Tunes are provided by a D/C AM/FM stereo receiver with a USB dock and speakers.

The peninsula-style helm console has a built-in forward lounge with comfortable seat cushions and under-seat storage. To starboard is another cushioned bench seat with rod storage beneath.
The lower helm station with its large, clear, obstruction-free windshield remains in place on the 45 Express, even after the flybridge and upper helm have been added. The 45 Express with Bridge Option also features the same spacious interior layout found in the 45 Express and 45 Express Sportfish, including the well designed, open-concept salon/galley. One- and two-stateroom versions are available. Both feature a large, private master stateroom; in the two-stateroom version (shown at left), a bunkroom replaces part of the salon sofa.
