The 75-meter ICE-Class explorer Mystique by the New York-based Gill Schmid studio is due to be built in Germany at Doerries Yachts. The project is focused on transformable space and offers some unique features, like an enclosed helicopter garage or Ocean Farm. It is carried out on speculation with an very special type of owner in mind.
Being fundamental for an explorer yacht, tender space, both interior and exterior, is abundant onboard Mystique, with Triton Submarines, Sailing Catamaran, Interceptor, Jet Skis, Limousine Tender, Luxury Tender and Dive Boat included in her current configuration.
In case the on-water and underwater exploration isn’t enough, the boat provides a helipad and a fully-enclosed helicopter garage for large aircraft.
The multipurpose layout is capable of continuous transformation, which makes her an ideal yacht for charter. Among the flexible spaces are a beach club and a sinkable pool that double as additional tender storage, as well as a helicopter landing area that may alternatively serve as a dance floor or sports court.
Equipped with solar panels, Mystique supports a sustainable Ocean Farm with fish tanks, food labs and hydroponic growing facilities for a “farm” to table dining experience.
The living quarters comprise six guest suites and a larger owner’s suite with a private outdoor deck, as well as accommodation for a 25 crew. Standard features, such as Jacuzzis, gym, spa, cocktail lounge, guest lounges, entertainment and various dining areas are part of the basic package.
The estimated build time for Mystique is three years.
“Mystique is for the world traveler not limited by space or location. Someone with an extreme and adventurous lifestyle, who loves to entertain new ideas, new friends and new destinations and – above all – new experiences”, claims the boat’s designer Veronica Schmid.
