The Hinckley Dasher is a 8,5-metre (28-foot) fully electric boat with a sleek, stylish and minimalistic exterior and cutting-edge technology. She was designed by Michael Peters and its innovation is that her hardware is created by using 3D-printing technology, which minimized boat tonnage to only 2,9 tons.
The maximum speed is expected to be at 23 knots, with cruising speed at 20 knots with 40 nautical miles range.

The Dasher boasts a deep V-hull with a plumb bow and is powered by twin 40 kWh li-ion batteries driving 80 HP inboard engines. The same batteries are used in the BMW i3 automobile and should last 9 years or 9,000 cycles.
The Dasher has a 30-amp shore power setup but can also charge with dual 50 amp connectors. Four hours are needed to fully charge the boat, which may be a little faster than a Tesla. Technological features include on-tap sliding cup holders, windshield that is lowering automatically, touchscreen navigation and digital switching system.

Aside from its innovations, the Dasher is completely sustainable. It’s a rare feature amongst the yachting world. The artisanal teak is hand painted faux wood to look like grain-matched true wood trim.
