Shipyard: Ferretti Yachts (Forlì – Italy)

Ferretti Yachts 670 further raises the levels of elegance, comfort, and performance that have always been part of the DNA of the historic brand, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. A product of the collaboration between the Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department, the 670 is the first Ferretti Yachts vessel with exterior design created in partnership with architect Filippo Salvetti, while the interiors are exclusively the work of the Group’s in-house architects and designers. Characterised by excellent optimisation of the space, both interior and exterior, in its 67 feet (20.24 metres) the 670 features solutions typical of much larger vessels. These include the large flybridge with its area of 25 square metres that makes it one of the most competitive yachts in its category, and the bow that features a living space that can be converted into a spacious relaxation area, a true innovation in terms of liveability and comfort. Below decks, the master suite is situated in the centre of the yacht and includes a large study that serves as an antechamber. The symbol of an evolution of the  brand under the banner of tradition, Ferretti Yachts 670 maintains the sleek lines and the clean forms of the latest models, with an excellent updated design of the spaces, for a perfect mix of socialisation and independence.

Custom Line 120’ – The planing jewel that blends automotive design and aeronautical know-how

Exterior Design: Francesco Paszkowski Design
Interior Design: Francesco Paszkowski Design & Ferretti Group
Shipyard: Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard (Ancona- Italy)

Custom Line 120’ is the first Custom Line to bear the signature of Francesco Paszkowski Design, the design studio that partnered with Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department. This unique yacht reimagines and combines stylistic features and elements of automotive design and residential architecture, adding in-depth research aimed at enhancing forms and volumes through  furnishingchoices in line with the very latest trends of contemporary living. Of note is the innovative glass door that gives access to the lounge; in addition to the usual slide opening of the two glass panels, it also has a tilting mechanism providing a 45° inclination. Thanks to this engineering marvel, developed in conjunction with an aeronautic company, guests can enjoy a single liveable space between cockpit and lounge. The particularly generous spaces are a constant in all the areas, as confirmed by the forward and aft garages designed for water toys and tenders. In addition, Custom Line 120’ is the first yacht that makes it possible to directly connect the flybridge to the forward zone by means of the side passageways with access from the monkey bridge as well, creating a single large deck of 100 square metres. Custom Line 120’ will also be showcased at Monaco Yacht Show from 26th to 29th September 2018.

Interior Design: Studio Zuccon International Project & Ferretti Group
Shipyard: Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard (Ancona – Italy)

The wait for the largest Custom Line Navetta ever built, the magnificent Navetta 42, is over. The superyacht is the first vessel in the history of the brand to exceed 300 GT. A vast suite on the main deck is available to the owner, while the layout of the lower deck provides 4 VIP cabins for guests. The stern area is entirely dedicated to leisure, conceived as a large beach club at sea level, and its entertainment function is enhanced by the new launching and retrieval system for tenders and water toys from the garage that opens from the side into the sea. The new flagship of the fleet is the result of the collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project and the Ferretti Group Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department. Custom Line Navetta 42 will also be showcased at Monaco Yacht Show from 26th to 29th September 2018.

Riva 110’ Dolcevita – A loft with a sea view

Exterior Design: Officina Italiana Design
Interior Design: Officina Italiana Design & Ferretti Group
Shipyard: Riva (La Spezia – Italy)

It’s the new fiberglass flagship of the fleet and the second-born, following Riva 100’ Corsaro, of the brand’s updated flybridge range. Characterised by a super-sporty profile and a design enhanced by shaped glass windows and chrome-plated inserts, Riva 110’ Dolcevita is the result of the collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the studio founded by Mauro Micheli along with Sergio Beretta, and Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department. Like a luxurious loft, open to the sea on every side, Riva 110’ Dolcevita offers 270° of absolute visibility and enables the lounge to reach a height of 2.30 metres, thanks to a large stainless steel frame that supports the superstructure, acting as a frame for the floor-to-ceiling windows. The area is thus free from interruptions, bathed with natural light. In addition to the innovative “spider frame” structure, one of the particular features of this model is the total liveability of the spaces. The exterior areas of the flybridge and bow are interconnected, thus creating an “infinity deck” of approximately 34 m2 of social areas from extreme stern to extreme bow, in a single solution of continuity. With its 34 metres of overall length (109.1 feet), with beam wider than 7 metres (22 feet), and a completely new hull design, the Riva 110’ enters the nautical world as a flybridge of immeasurable beauty. Riva 110’ Dolcevita will also be showcased at Monaco Yacht Show from 26th to 29th September 2018.

2025 RORC Transatlantic Race: Multihull Class Pursues Ambitious Goals
The 2025 RORC Transatlantic Race’s multihull lineup presents a departure from recent years, as a range of different vessels seek Line Honours in the MOCRA Class. Previous editions were dominated by MOD70s, but this year’s field promises greater diversity.Among the competitors is Oren Nataf’s Pulsar 50 Rayon Vert (FRA). In 2021, Rayon Vert secured overall line honours in the RORC Transatlantic Race, finishing in 9 days 2 hours 33 minutes and 19 seconds, and later took second place in MOCRA for the 2021 Rolex Fastnet Race. For the 2025 edition, Rayon Vert will race double-handed with François Seruzier.Miami-based Jacopo Bracco enters with the custom 53-foot trimaran Finn (USA), designed by Renaud Banuls. Bracco has raced multihulls since childhood, and Finn’s crew includes individuals with MOD70 experience, such as project manager Sam Mabey, 5.80 Transat winner Etienne Messikommer, and record-setter Jeff Mearing. Bracco stated: “In the right conditions, Finn can easily hit 20 knots and surf at 30!” He also noted one concession: “I have found a real Italian restaurant in Lanzarote which will be preparing some great meals. I am originally Italian, so there is no way we are going to race without good food!”Clarin Mustad’s Alibi 54 trimaran Dakota returns after failing to start in 2024 due to rudder issues. Now prepared in Lanzarote, Dakota could finish in about 12 days under ideal conditions. Mustad, new to ocean racing, said: “I prefer to compete rather than cruise because it makes the journey so much more exciting.” Dakota, bearing a Grenadian sail number, will be crewed by experienced sailors including co-skipper Carles Boned Roig and Christina Menabó, plus other friends.Thierry Roger’s Newick 39 trimaran Perros-Guirec, a sistership to the 1978 Route du Rhum winner Olympus Photos, will also compete. Roger will race double-handed with longtime colleague Renan Le Penven and aims to maintain an average speed of 10 knots. Roger, who has waited years to attempt a transatlantic crossing, said: “This will be my first transatlantic, but I have looked out over that ocean all my life… Now, at 64, I work less, so I have raced the boat in many regattas, but my ultimate goal is the 2026 Route du Rhum.”These entries join others in the Multihull Class at the RORC Transatlantic Race, supported by Calero Marinas, the International Maxi Association, and the Yacht Club de France. The race is scheduled to start on January 12, 2025, from Marina Lanzarote, covering 3,000 miles to Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina in Grenada.Credit: RORС
