Dutch-based shipyard, Feadship has launched the 47-meter Project 697. Designed by De Voogt, Project 697 is meant as a modern Feadship classic for an owner eager to bring back the looks of past motoryachts combined with modern technology.

Compared by the shipyard itself to the 50-meter Aurora B, which recently completed an 8-month refit, Project 697's exterior combines past features such as a centralised mast and handrails finished in teak with modern enhancements such as large windows and bright spaces.

Accommodating up to 10 guests in a master suite located forward of the main deck and 4 guest cabins on the lower deck, Project 697 carries a crew of 9 with the captain's quarters located on the bridge deck.

Measuring 47-meters, Project 697 stretches across a beam of 9.6m and has a draft of 2.92m. Powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines, the yacht can reach a speed of 14,5 knots and cruise for up to 4,000 nautical miles.

Feadship currently has the 69-meter Samaya under sea trials and completed 4 major refits at its facility this summer, including the 50-meter Aurora B and Cipitouba, formerly known as Seaflower.
