The Dubai Maritime Authority has entered into a strategic partnership with Gulf Craft to simplify the registration and licensing process for maritime vessels in Dubai. The agreement, signed by Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, and Abeer Alshaali, Deputy Managing Director at Gulf Craft, aims to establish a unified system for yacht registration.
This new system will allow customers purchasing yachts from Gulf Craft to directly register their vessels with the Dubai Maritime Authority through an online platform, significantly streamlining the registration process. The initiative aligns with Dubai's broader goal of enhancing government service accessibility and user-friendliness, as outlined by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Saeed highlighted that this partnership reflects the Dubai Maritime Authority's commitment to strengthening collaborations with the private sector to facilitate client procedures. Abeer Alshaali commended the Authority's efforts in making the registration process more efficient and selecting Gulf Craft as a partner to offer this service directly at the point of sale.
The collaboration also aims to ensure that all vessels meet safety standards and regulations, ultimately contributing to Dubai's reputation as a leading maritime hub. As part of Dubai's ongoing efforts to boost its maritime sector, the upcoming Gulf Superyacht Summit 2024 will further showcase the region's growing influence in the industry. The event, set to take place from December 4-5, 2024, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, will see Gulf Craft participating as a gold sponsor.
