Diana Yacht Design is revealing their latest superyacht concept, the 47m Diana R.50, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Dutch naval architecture and engineering studio.
R.50 has bold lines and a two-tone colour scheme of Chevy white and gunmetal grey. A smart layout maximized living space while providing expansive storage facilities, making R.50 a yacht worthy of extended ocean adventures with family and friends. Accommodation is provided for twelve guests across five ensuite cabins on the lower deck and a full-beam owner’s stateroom on the main deck.
The yacht, measuring at under 500 GT, delivers the ultimate superyacht experience – a touch-and-go helipad for an EC135 helicopter, fully equipped toy storage and a sun-drenched sundeck complete with jacuzzi and full entertainment area.
From al fresco dining with endless views of the ocean to the impressive toys and tender storage, R.50 delivers the ultimate superyacht experience.
Describing the creative process behind the latest design, Hans-Maarten Bais, Diana Creative Director, explains. “She started life after a discussion with a client. As a finalist in the Boat International Young Design Awards, our designer Casper Marelis was full of fantastic ideas. Together with our team of naval architects, supervised by Bart de Haan, he created a design and presented a yacht that the client loved. Ultimately, the project did not go ahead, but we knew that this design was too good to hide away. We decided to revisit the design together with the Diana team for our 50th anniversary. We expanded on the original concept to create something really unique. With excellent seakeeping, maximised living spaces and bold styling, R.50 represents the best of Diana Yacht Design”
