Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has revealed more details about the third Flexplorer 146 yacht, currently named Nasarda, which is under construction at the Italian shipyard. This vessel is part of a series of three Flexplorer 146 models being built, with a design closely resembling the first yacht in the series, Maverick. While both yachts share an exterior profile by Sergio Cutolo/Hydro Tec, Nasarda's interior has been designed by Winch Design, chosen by the "young and enthusiastic" American owner.
The interior of Nasarda showcases an eco-friendly approach, featuring earthy colors, matte surfaces, and organic textures. The use of "green" materials is prominent, including reclaimed seashell composite, eggshell finishes, Foresso, recycled fishing nets, woven grass, and Thames wood. Notable features consist of a "green living wall" crafted from preserved moss and reclaimed seashell composite used throughout the bathrooms. Carpets are made from recycled fishing nets, and palm leather is applied to furnishings.
The layout of Nasarda has been customized to the owner's preferences. The yacht spans three decks, with accommodations for six guests and six crew members. On the main deck, three guest cabins include two twins and a convertible large double cabin, which can be transformed into a homeschooling room or studio when needed. The master suite is situated on an owner's deck, offering a private stern terrace and a forward lounge area housing one of two cold plunge pools on board.
The Flexplorer line is characterized by its forward-set superstructure, creating a spacious utility deck capable of carrying a 10-meter custom tender, crew tender, and two jet skis, operated by a four-tonne A-frame crane. Once the tenders are launched, the area transforms into an open-air lounging, dining, and entertainment space.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, Nasarda will achieve a top speed of 14 knots and a range of 6,500 nautical miles when traveling at 10 knots. This model will also feature an IMO Tier III-compliant selective catalytic reduction, enabling navigation in marine protected areas and sanctuaries such as the Galapagos. The interior out-fitting contractor has been carefully chosen for its carbon-neutral business model. In addition, two pairs of electro-driven stabilizing fins ensure comfortable cruising and enhanced seakeeping.
Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and sales and marketing director of CdM, emphasized the series' success in delivering "full flexibility" to owners. The concept of Flexplorer allows each owner to collaborate with the shipyard and customize their yacht to a high degree, setting it apart from other standard customization options in the 100/150 feet market.
The first Flexplorer 146 unit, Maverick, was sold in November 2020, and another model was sold in November 2021.
CDM's story begins in 2010. The facilities cover an overall surface of 16˙000 square meters, including 7˙000 sq. m of workshops and 1˙000 sq. m of docks. Since 2015, the shipyard has been the world’s leading builder of explorer yachts. Based in Ancona, Cantiere delle Marche builds yachts from 26m to 43m in length.
