The latest images of the new Arcadia 100 yacht were revealed by Arcadia Yachts at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The hull, main deck, as well as superstructure of the solar-powered Arcadia 100 motor yacht Hull #1 have been successfully completed, assembled and positioned in the outfitting shed. The eco-friendly Arcadia 100 yacht Hull #1, which is currently in build at Arcadia Yachts in Italy, will now have the interior design of the main deck and guest cabins by Francesco Guida. The hull of the first Arcadia 100 superyacht has just been completed and fitting out is about to start.
Lamination on the 29.29 metre yacht began at the end of August and the estimated launch date is the end of June 2016.
Arcadia 100 luxury yacht Hull #1 features solar cells of latest generation. These are integrated between external and internal surface of double-glazing panels fitted on top of the largest part of the superstructure. Each double-glazing panel contains a special gas named Krypton, which guarantees a high thermo-isolating coefficient, up to 18° of thermal cooling between interior and exterior temperatures, the equivalent of a 20 cm brick wall.
The superyacht's flybridge has been designed so it can convert into a covered third deck, which can be closed with side windows, air-conditioned and completely protected by the elements. Therefore the whole upper-deck area becomes much more flexible and usable with any weather condition. Moreover, the third deck hosts the wheelhouse, a lounge with sofas and coffee tables, wet-bar and, externally in the aft, a sun-deck.
The interiors of the first Arcadia 100 yacht include an on-deck full-beam owner's cabin and four guest cabins, all positioned on the lower deck. The main deck, directly connected to the cockpit, features both salon and dining area, creating a single, bright and airy space. The whole living area can be transformed into a patio at sea with a full opening salon, thanks to lateral and aft sliding doors and balconies.
Arcadia has confirmed at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show that in addition to the two hulls of the 100 in production, there are two support vessel Sherpas being built. Larger Arcadia Yachts are also in the design stages, including a new 44.5 metre Arcadia 145 superyacht.
"Our biggest challenge is to remain innovative and responsive to client expectations in terms of uniqueness," said Ugo Pellegrino, the president and CEO of Arcadia.
The superyacht is expected to hit the water at the end of June 2016, when she will be handed over to her Owner.
