Apreamare is set to debut its new flagship, the Maestro 88, at the Genoa Boat Show from September 19 to 24. This 28-meter vessel marks the largest yacht ever produced by the shipyard and will be presented alongside the full Gozzo range, including the Gozzo 38 Cabin, Gozzo 45, and Gozzo 35.
The Maestro 88 is a "gentleman’s navetta" with a semi-planing hull, designed by the Casali-Tagliavini team. Measuring 27.7 meters in length and nearly 7 meters in width, the yacht stays within the 24-meter regulatory limit with a full-load displacement of 90 tons. Powered by twin 1,650 horsepower MAN engines, the Maestro 88 can reach a maximum speed of 22 knots and has a cruising range of up to 1,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Safety and comfort are key design elements of the Maestro 88. The exterior, crafted by Marco Casali of Too Design, emphasizes elegance and fluid integration with the interior spaces, designed for continuous visual connection with the sea. The yacht features a large beach club, expansive sliding glass windows on the main deck, and a flybridge with relaxation areas, a galley, wet bar, and solar panels. The interior layout is customizable, offering configurations with up to four cabins, ensuring a luxurious onboard experience, particularly for long voyages.
In addition to the Maestro 88, Apreamare will introduce the Gozzo 38 Cabin to the Italian market. The Gozzo 38 Cabin, a collaboration between Cataldo Aprea, Marco Casali, and Umberto Tagliavini, builds on the Gozzo 35 with larger interior spaces and a raised deckhouse for improved habitability. The yacht's design features an extended stern platform, increasing its overall length to 11.45 meters.
The Gozzo 38 Cabin offers a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces, highlighted by a four-panel French window that enhances the open, bright living area. Below deck, the optimized layout includes two cabins and a bathroom with a two-meter internal height. For propulsion, owners can choose between traditional Volvo Penta D4-320 shaft line engines or stern drives with two power ratings, ensuring versatile and efficient navigation.
Apreamare’s display at the Genoa Boat Show will also include the Gozzo 45 and the popular Gozzo 35, showcasing the shipyard’s commitment to combining traditional Sorrentine design with modern innovation.
The history of the shipyard starts in 1849, when Giovanni Aprea started to handbuild rowing and sailing boats used for fishing in Sorrento, basing his craft on the shape and form of the traditional “gozzo sorrentino”. Now the shipyard range includes the Apreamare and Maestro yachts.
