The 49m expedition an award-winning yacht Tyr has been recently sold. She was built by Flyghtship Construction in 2007. The sale was provided by Merle Wood & Associates, has been sold with the buyer introduced by James Lloyd at Edmiston & Company.
With a beam of 9.7 m and a draft of 3.76 m, she has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. The motor yacht can accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins with an interior design by Anthony Bedford and an exterior design by Pieter Beeldsnijder. Six crew cabins are dedicated to her crew consisting of up to 12 members.
She is the perfect superyacht for world cruising especially for those who have an adventure in their soul. Tyr offers a safe and comfortable experience with stunning exterior and interior designs.
Previously known as T6, Tyr after getting a new owner this time, was renamed to V6.
A key feature onboard Tyr is her large helicopter storage located beneath her expansive aft deck. Also, she has a spacious sports garage for water and land toys.
The main deck saloon features a relaxing seating area with two large sofas, four cozy and stylish leather armchairs, and a leather ottoman around a custom glass-topped coffee table.
Powered by twin WARTSILA diesel main engines, Tyr cruises at 13 knots and reaches a top speed of 15.5 knots. For propulsion, she has twin screw propellers. She also has an efficient range of 11000 nautical miles when motoring at her cruising speed of 13.5 knots. Her total HP is 2896 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2160.
