Wider Yachts and Pajot Custom Yachts have created a new 44m catamaran concept, the 145 EcoYacht. This aluminium and carbon catamaran follows the launch of the smaller model, the 31.1m 115 EcoYacht.

Compared to the sistership, the 44.1m will have more space, including the pool at the aft, and increased performance. She will have hybrid-propulsion options to make it more environmentally friendly.

“We are just beginning an age of eco awareness for yachting as a whole and Wider will be at the leading edge of this technology at all times, from hydrogen power to the dawn of new power sources such as Thermionic Converters. I am personally very excited about our partnership with Marc Pajot, and his exceptionally talented team. Together we will build some spectacular eco hybrid catamarans, setting a new benchmark on the oceans,” says Marcello Maggi, CEO of Wider.

Wider was founded by Tilli Antonelli, who started his own company after resigning from the Ferretti Group. The first Wider 42 was launched in 2010. The Wider 150 was launched in October 2015 and was named M/Y Bartali. The Wider 165 was launched in May 2018 and she has recently been awarded by Boat International World Superyacht Awards and won in the "Displacement motor yacht between 300 and 499GT – 48m and above" category.
