Oceanco has unveiled the 80-meter Silver Ocean, as part of its Simply Custom series. Inspired by the sleek lines of aviation and automotive design, this vessel exudes a sense of perpetual motion, even when docked.
The concept was designed by Team For Design – Enrico Gobbi. According to Gobbi, Silver Ocean boasts an elusive appearance, accentuated by its distinctive overhangs and sleek profile. Three character lines, reminiscent of slits of light, further enhance the vessel's dynamic aesthetic, creating a captivating sight when anchored.
Outdoor spaces on Silver Ocean are expansive and thoughtfully designed, with large aft decks that offer unobstructed views and seamless flow. The main deck pool, flush with a glass bulwark, provides a unique swimming experience, offering uninterrupted vistas of the surrounding sea. Meanwhile, the lower deck features a luxurious beach club complete with a panoramic hot tub, central lounge, and gym facilities.
Inside, Simply Custom yachts offer volumes ranging from 2,500 to 2,700 GT. Typically, these vessels include an owner's suite on the upper deck and six guest cabins on the main deck, although layouts can be tailored to the owner's preferences. Silver Ocean's owner's suite is particularly impressive, featuring a private terrace with a pool and a sweeping stairway leading to a helipad on the bow.
In terms of performance, Silver Ocean boasts highly efficient hulls by Lateral Naval Architects and hybrid diesel-electric propulsion systems capable of running on low-carbon biofuels. With an expected top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed between 14 and 15 knots, Silver Ocean offers both speed and efficiency. Additionally, the yacht can cover an impressive 5,000 nautical miles when cruising at 12 to 14 knots.
