Denison Yachting has listed for sale Project Pegasus, an 88-meter superyacht concept designed by Jozeph Forakis. Exclusively offered as a new construction opportunity through Denison, Project Pegasus is a groundbreaking 3D printed superyacht solar-electric/hydrogen hybrid, heralded as the world's first, boasting zero emissions. This innovative vessel features reflective 'Solar Wings' and incorporates a multi-level "Tree of Life" hydroponic garden, providing both fresh food and air purification.
The concept has earned prestigious accolades, including the Elite Award and the International Yacht & Aviation Award. Recognized in the "Elite Concept Award" and "Interior Concept" categories, respectively, these awards celebrate Project Pegasus for its global exterior and interior excellence.
Designed with sustainability in mind, Jozeph Forakis envisions a yacht that is virtually invisible, both in design and environmental impact. Ottaviano Iacono, Founder of SuperyachtOne, praises the project's commitment to sustainability and hails the collaboration between Denison Yachting and Jozeph Forakis as an exciting venture.
James Roy, Managing Director of Lateral Naval Architects, expresses enthusiasm about pushing the boundaries of structural engineering and technology readiness with the Pegasus 88m design.
Alex G. Clarke, the Denison superyacht broker representing the project, sees Pegasus as more than a concept, describing it as groundbreaking and inspiring. The superyacht's construction involves robotic 3D printing, creating a mesh framework for both the hull and superstructure. This process results in a strong, lightweight structure produced with less energy, material, waste, space, and time compared to conventional methods.
The exterior design features a low, linear hull with a plumb bow and silver metallic finish, blending seamlessly with the water. Reflective glass wings, resembling chameleon-like elements, adorn the superstructure, creating a shape-shifting effect.
The lattice framework of the 3D-printed structure becomes visible through the reflective glass under specific angles and lighting conditions.
Denison has long been a leader in the yachting industry with a rich family history dating back to 1948, and the start of Broward Marine in Fort Lauderdale. Today, the company provides complete yachting services worldwide, including superyacht sales, yacht charter, crew placement, and new construction.
