Turquoise Yachts has moved its 79m in-built Project Toro from a shipyard facility in Kocaeli to its Pendik shipyard near Istanbul. Project Toro was sold by the Monaco based international yacht brokerage company SuperYachtsMonaco to a longstanding client in 2021.
“The client has entrusted SuperYachtsMonaco to negotiate all aspects of their new build project and to establish the right team to build his dream yacht. The owner would also like to thank David Reardon and his team at Hill Dickinson for their contract negotiation and ACP Surveyors for their in-depth technical knowledge during the specification review,” says the representative of SuperYachtsMonaco at the time of sale.
The 79 meter steel and aluminum vessel will be the largest yacht launched by the Turquoise. She features the exterior and interior styling by the multi award-winning team at Harrison Eidsgaard Design. It became the first collaboration for the London-based design studio and Turkish shipard.
“She features long flowing exterior lines, an 8.5m pool, and a multitude of unique interior and exterior design features,” comments Ben Harrison of Harrison Eidsgaard Design.
Project Toro can accommodate 14 guests across seven suites comprising the master suite and six further guest staterooms as well as accommodation for 21 crew.
“Project Toro is the culmination of a lengthy and tedious process of research to find the right design team, Harrison Eidsgaard Design, and the right shipyard, Turquoise Yachts, to execute this project while incorporating all the client’s refined parameters. Both of our partners in this endeavor have exceptional credentials in their respective fields of expertise,” says a representative of SuperYachtsMonaco.
The motor yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2023.
Turquoise was established in 1997 by two leaders of the Turkish boat building industry: Proteksan Yachts Inc. and Turquoise Yacht Construction. After launching the 50m M/Y Turquoise (now called Double Trouble), 20 other megayachts ranging from 40m to 77m in length have since been delivered to an international roster of clients from the United States, United Kingdom, Europe and Russia.
