Galactica Super Nova, the largest Heesen yacht yet, has seen daylight for the first time.
Designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, the 70m superyacht combines high speed with increased stability. Built for a repeat Heesen customer, she can reach a top speed in excess of 30 knots thanks to twin MTU 20V 4000 engines of 5760 hp each and a third additional booster jet.

The superyacht features an exterior design by Espen Oeino and an interior by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design. Galactica Super Nova can accommodate up to 12 guests over several appointed cabins, including four guest cabins on the lower deck, a VIP suite on the wheelhouse deck aft, and a large owner’s suite forward on the main deck.

Some key features of Galactica Super Nova include a touch-and-go helipad that doubles as an outdoor cinema and a 13.500 litres pool with a contra-flow system for swimming. Tenders and toys (including a quad ski) are stored in the forward part of the hull, allowing room for a large beach club and swimming platform aft.

Galactica Super Nova will undergo a testing period in the North Sea before being delivered to her owner in May 2016. After her maiden voyage from the Netherlands to Montenegro, she will cruise the Mediterranean for the summer before she debuts at the Monaco Yacht Show.
