Heesen Yachts unveiled an ambitious new project – a majestic 62-meter superyacht known as Project Monte-Carlo – at the Monaco Yacht Show during a launch press conference held at the Hotel Hermitage. This initiative represents one of the shipyard's most daring ventures to date, with a design crafted by the esteemed British studio Harrison Eidsgaard, tailored to suit modern yacht owners seeking extended onboard experiences.

Niels Vaessen, Heesen’s CEO, articulated the rationale behind this four-deck design. “Though building a four-decker is atypical for us, there’s been a notable demand from our past clients for larger vessels,” he remarked. This superyacht aims to cater to owners keen on maximizing onboard space, allowing them to create cherished memories with family and friends.

A standout feature of Project Monte-Carlo is its exclusive owner’s deck, which emphasizes privacy and personal space. This area encompasses a lavish master suite, a spacious office, and interconnected amenities. Designer Peder Eidsgaard elaborated on the versatility of the space, allowing future owners to customize it according to their preferences, even including a private foredeck with a jacuzzi and a fold-down balcony.

Guest accommodations, designed with comfort in mind, are located on the Main Deck and consist of four sizable staterooms alongside a generous full-beam VIP suite. The yacht boasts a striking 23-square-metre pool with glass sides for an immersion effect, and fold-down wings that create a unique connection to the sea.

Wellness is also paramount in the design, featuring a lower deck dedicated to health and relaxation, including a gym, sauna, and beauty room. Additionally, the yacht accommodates water activities with ample storage for e-foils, wave runners, and diving gear.

Heesen has also integrated sustainable practices in the project, aligning with their BlueNautech strategy. Project Monte-Carlo is designed for serial hybrid propulsion, with expansive storage for a large battery bank and a layout prepared for future conversion to hydrogen or fuel cells. “Our clients are increasingly concerned about their environmental footprint,” stated Peter Van Der Zanden, General Manager for Design & Development.

Heesen Yachts is a Dutch ship building company that specializes in custom-built superyachts in aluminum and steel from 30m to 70m in size. Founded in 1978, it has launched more than 170 yachts since its inception.
