Denison Yachting has announced the exclusive listing of the 62-meter superyacht Horizon, currently under construction. Represented by Denison yacht brokers Alex G. Clarke and Kit Denison, this polar-classed explorer yacht is being built at the Shipyard De Hoop in Tolkamer, Netherlands, with an expected delivery date in September 2025.
Horizon, a 1,700 gross ton vessel, is designed to accommodate 14 guests in six staterooms. The yacht features contributions from industry leaders such as Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Cor D. Rover, and O7 Designers. The vessel is designed for high-latitude regions, offering 40 days of autonomy at sea. Luxury amenities include a beach club, expansive pool, sauna, gym, diving room, and a large garage for tenders and water toys. Horizon can achieve a top speed of 12 knots and cruises comfortably at 10 knots with a range of 14,000 nautical miles.
Alex G. Clarke expressed his enthusiasm for the project: “Leapher is a newly formed Dutch shipyard founded by a dynamic, forward-thinking team. I am excited to partner with them in offering the 62m expedition yacht Horizon for sale. This vessel embodies the high standards of craftsmanship expected from Holland and signifies the promising future of Leapher Shipyard.”
Construction updates indicate significant progress, with the hull and superstructure completed, major machinery installed, and pipe work ongoing. Horizon is on track for its international debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2025.
Clarke highlighted the yacht's unique market position: “Horizon is the only new polar-classed expedition yacht currently under construction and available for sale with a delivery in the next two years. At 1,710 gross tons, she offers the volume of a much larger yacht. With dynamic positioning, a massive beach club, and extensive toy storage, she promises unparalleled luxury and adventure.”
Denison Yachting has listed Horizon for €73 million, presenting a rare opportunity to own a state-of-the-art global explorer yacht.
Leapher Yachts is situated in the heart of Holland and is equipped with the longest slipways in the country and boasts a team of experts who can build complete vessels in-house. The shipyard has a mission to lead the shipbuilding industry. The recent acquisition of a shipyard with a rich history of over 130 years of experience and 1800 successful projects is just the start.
