Damen Yachting's inaugural 58-meter SeaXplorer, named Pink Shadow, has successfully completed its sea trials in April and has now been delivered. Currently, Pink Shadow is embarking on its maiden voyage to the Mediterranean. This SeaXplorer is also noteworthy for being the first of its kind to be constructed at Damen's facility in Antalya, Turkey. The construction of this custom explorer commenced on speculation.
Pink Shadow, christened after its ice-class cruiser designation, stands out as the third addition to the SeaXplorer lineup by the Dutch shipyard, yet it holds the distinctiveness of measuring an impressive 58 meters. Its creation was a collaborative effort involving Azure Yacht Design, Naval Architecture, and EYOS Expeditions. Notable exterior features include a verdant steel hull, a lightweight aluminum superstructure, extensive stretches of black glazing, and synthetic teak decking.
The interior spaces were masterfully designed by Design Unlimited. Within the lavish living quarters, the vessel offers six exquisite suites catering to a maximum of 12 guests. Accommodations for a crew of 15 and two expedition staff members are also thoughtfully integrated. The vessel boasts a sky lounge and dining area on the bridge deck, along with the distinctive observation lounge at the bow. The aft deck is dedicated to a helipad, while the bridge deck features a hot tub. Additionally, the lower deck hosts an expansive infinity pool.
Pink Shadow's capabilities are also impressive – with a top speed of 14.5 knots and a cruising speed of 11.5 knots, the vessel can cover 5,000 nautical miles. It offers a generous 30 days of autonomy at sea, enhancing the possibilities for remarkable adventures.
Damen Yachting, a division within the Damen Shipyards Group, was created in 2019. The division combines the pedigree and heritage of Amels yachts with a growing portfolio of SeaXplorer yachts and Yacht Support vessels.
