The Genoa boutique shipyard, Tankoa Yachts, announced the arrival of the T580 ‘World Wide Explorer’. The yacht sailed to the shipyard with an already assembled hull and superstructure; the engines and generators were also present and mounted on board.
The metalworking phase on the Tankoa T580, which, it must be remembered, will have a steel hull with aluminum superstructure, is currently in the completion phase, with the welding of the elements that will form the main internal and external details. In particular, the preparation of the interior metal structures is continuing simultaneously on all decks, with the action focused mainly on the technical areas so that the main machinery can be installed.

At the same time, the construction of the main mast is also in progress, as is that of the aft hatches, the bow garage and the owner's cabin (which has a large opening balcony). The hawseholes for the anchors, with the related hawsepipe for the passage of the anchor chain, are still under construction. Furthermore, the last finishing welds are being completed on some details of the external hull; this will be soon followed by laying out the external points for the application of the plaster.
The T580, which was sold in 2021 to an owner the Tankoa shipyard was already acquainted with. The 58-meter yacht is a full-custom project, designed for long voyages and with a range of over 5,000 nautical miles. Her sporty lines were designed by Francesco Paszkowski (and Margherita Casprini, who collaborated on the interior design).
Tankoa T580 features the helideck at the bow, the large beach club with folding terrace, and a spa equipped with a massage room at the stern. The gym and the swimming pool are located on the fly deck. The large garage can house two tenders, one of which is a nine-meter “limotender”.
The ‘World Wide Explorer’ has five guest cabins in addition to the owner's cabin. A particularly unusual feature is the long panoramic corridor on the lower deck, which connects the cabins directly with the beach area, passing through the open engine room.

Hargrave Superyachts has launched its new 38-meter tri-deck motor yacht, the Hargrave 125, from its Antalya, Turkey facility. The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda is hosting the 2025 Swan One Design Worlds from June 17-21, featuring 35 teams from 30 nations competing across four one-design classes. Italian yacht builder Mylius Yachts has revealed details of its new M60GL sailing yacht, an 18.5-meter performance cruiser-racer designed by Giovanni Ceccarelli. The first unit is currently under construction for a European owner, with delivery scheduled for 2026.The M60GL features a carbon fiber hull with Corecell core construction, combining racing performance with cruising comfort. Damen Yachting has commenced sea trials for the first 80-meter Amels Limited Editions superyacht, marking the final phase before its scheduled summer delivery. The vessel represents the latest addition to the Amels series, featuring hybrid propulsion technology designed to reduce emissions and enable quieter operation.Project manager Romke van der Linde stated: "The sea trials offer a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the innovation, design, and power that this yacht delivers." The European Boating Industry (EBI) federation has elected Fabio Planamente, Vice President of the Italian Marine Industry Association, as Special Representative for the Large Yacht Sector during its General Assembly in Hamburg. Planamente will serve a two-year term on the EBI board alongside newly elected President Robert Marx (VMWD/Germany) and other European industry leaders."I am honored to have received this assignment," said Planamente. "This role recognizes the work carried out by our President Piero Formenti during his terms leading EBI, and confirms Italy's strategic position in the global yacht sector."
