Columbus Yachts has launched the 50-meter full custom aluminum superyacht Anjelif. Her exteriors and interiors were made by Marco Casali of Too-Design while the engineering is by the Palumbo Superyachts team. A model tailored to the needs of her experienced owner and packed with technical and stylistic innovations like the hybrid, diesel-electric propulsion.
In addition, this superyacht incorporates two cutting-edge technologies for enhanced safety and cleanliness. The first utilizes cold plasma to sanitize the incoming air, which is then used for both ventilation and air conditioning, effectively eliminating airborne viruses and bacteria. The second technology automates the regular sanitization of every internal area of the yacht, ensuring daily safety measures are upheld.
The Anjelif’s interior design is crafted using natural and ecological materials. It features a gym, sauna, and massage room on the main deck, providing ultimate comfort and relaxation. The swimming pool is beautifully finished with exposed teak. Additionally, a second hot tub is located on the top deck for further enjoyment. At the bow, there is a functional area with a sunbathing space and a touch & go helicopter docking platform that can be transformed into an open-air cinema if desired.
With a layout spanning four decks, the master cabin is positioned forward on the main deck, while below deck, there are four double cabins. The yacht can accommodate a crew of 11 members.
The Columbus Custom 50m has a gross tonnage of 499 GT and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 20 knots. It boasts a range of 3000 nautical miles at 12 knots. The diesel engine system comprises 2 x MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each with a power output of 1939 kW, while the electric system consists of 2 x 175 kW Kohler generators.
This yacht features an innovative hybrid system developed by Palumbo Superyachts, allowing for diesel-electric propulsion. Two electric motors with a power of 100 kW each can be utilized for a speed of approximately 9 knots. These electric motors can also function as shaft generators, enabling navigation without the need for the generators. To ensure uninterrupted power supply during transitional phases, a state-of-the-art lithium battery pack serves as a backup, eliminating the risk of blackouts.
Anjelif will have its world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023.
Palumbo Superyachts began to take root in 2008, when the Columbus Yachts brand was established, and in 2011 launched its first 54 meter superyacht, emblematically christened “Prima” (“the First”). Currently, Palumbo Superyachts comprises a representative office in Monaco and a logistics network of five shipyards in the Mediterranean (Ancona, Malta, Marseille, Naples, and Savona), and also operates the following brands: ISA Yachts, Extra Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine and Palumbo SY Refit.
