Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has announced the launch of Project San, a bespoke 45-meter superyacht crafted entirely from aluminum. Collaborating with Dutch studio Sinot for design and Lateral Naval Architects for naval architecture, the vessel promises a blend of elegance and functionality.
According to Paul Costerus, partner and lead designer at Sinot, Project San prioritizes al fresco living with a "fully open main deck," providing seamless connectivity from stern to bow. Costerus emphasized the meticulous planning involved, stating, "The design of San began after long and in-depth conversations with her future owner."
Externally, San showcases a sleek, predatory profile accentuated by a raised pilothouse and sharp lines, while the interior design, although not yet revealed, promises a minimalist yet detail-oriented approach. Full-height windows ensure a constant connection with the surroundings.
Gökhan Çelik, President of Alia Yachts, expressed pride in the project, highlighting its contribution to the shipyard's reputation as a top-tier custom yacht builder. This launch follows Alia Yachts' recent collaboration with Burgess on another custom 45-meter superyacht, demonstrating the shipyard's commitment to excellence and innovation in yacht construction.
Alia Yachts was founded in 2008 by Gokhan Çelik and Omer Koray. Located in the port of Antalya on the beautiful Turkish Riviera, Alia Yachts shipyard currently occupies approximately 8,000 m2, including three construction halls with their suites of specialist workshops and a dedicated interiors facility. With an additional 16,000 sq. m under development for 2019, Alia Yachts will rank among the top facilities in the region.
