Vripack has unveiled the 45m yacht Krista. The Dutch studio designed a yacht for ocean exploration. The 45m displacement motor yacht benefits from a class-compliant design package underpinned by Vripack’s award-winning naval architects. Krista was originally conceived for an owner who specified Italian flair combined with comfort, capability and convenience. A large factor was the ability to anchor close to shore, eliminating the need for a guest tender on the foredeck. That’s why Vripack made her with a shallow 2m draft, making her suited from different parts of the world, from Portofino to The Bahamas.
“The cool factor is it’s super shallow, which is unusual for a steel and aluminum boat. Compared to other 499GT boats, it gives a lot of space with four guest cabins and one VIP suite,” says Bart M. Bouwhuis, Vripack co-creative director.
The full-beam owner’s cabin is located on the main deck forward, while the bridge deck gives way to large outdoor entertaining areas, forward and aft. On the sun deck, a lounge area with hot tub, oversized sunpads and a glass skylight with uninterrupted views all the way down to the lower deck nods to the boat’s bespoke personality.
The design is tender-ready, but if required, the superstructure and layout can easily be personalized without compromising the platform setup, which means owners can reap the benefit of a short lead time, at a yard of their choice.
Vripack is a yacht-design studio with a portfolio that represents over 7400 designs, made strong through its extensive naval architecture and engineering experience. From the moment they opened their doors in 1961, Vripack studio’s approach to design has been governed by the playful interaction between form and function.
