SCA Yachting, known for its expertise in yacht charter and refits, is expanding into boatbuilding. The Turkish company recently announced its plans to construct a sleek wooden 40-meter sailing yacht at the Cavusoglu shipyard in Bodrum starting later this month.
Founder Cenk Avdan emphasized the environmentally friendly nature of wood as the material of choice for the yacht, stating that it doesn't compromise the health of those on board. SCA Yachting remains committed to supporting wood as their preferred material.
Named Boa Kingdom, this custom yacht was developed collaboratively by SCA's in-house team and the new owner. The naval architecture is led by Fuat Turan, and the build will be executed at the well-equipped Cavusoglu facility.
Boa Kingdom will be constructed using laminated wood, a flexible and lightweight yet robust and stiff material. Responsibly sourced, it is also sustainable and renewable. The combination of wood and modern details gives the yacht a beautiful and classic aesthetic.
With a spacious interior volume of 345 GT, she can accommodate up to 12 guests. The living quarters will be tailored to the owner's preferences. The foredeck will feature a hot tub, lounge area, and storage space for two Jet Skis. At the opposite end, an al fresco dining area and a swim platform will provide further amenities. The expansive flybridge will offer a perfect setting for breathtaking views and sunset gatherings.
Boa Kingdom will be powered by two Volvo engines, and it will have a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 15 knots.
SCA Yachting is based in Turkey and offers a range of services for yacht owners, including yacht management, maintenance, and crewing services.
