Last week Limited Editions Amels 200 by Tim Heywood appeared at Vlissingen yard. Because of the virus, the yard team is following government guidelines to reduce contact to a minimum. The arrival of this new hull shows a great determination and adaptability.

“During these challenging times we’ve taken wide-ranging measures at our yards to minimise the impact and spread of the virus,” says Managing Director Rose Damen. “The health and wellbeing of those working at the yard is our top priority. So the arrival of this new hull shows a great determination and adaptability from everyone involved including our suppliers. It gives me a lot of confidence that we will get through this crisis in our industry together.”
Amels 200 shares the same naval architecture, high volume and hybrid electrical power technology as her predecessor, the Amels 188. She also features the four-deck elevator and air-conditioned gym on Sun Deck.

Amels 60 stands out with swim platform and folding owner’s suite balcony, 9-metre luxury tender, and a generous interior volume of 830 GT. As for the interiors, the team of Studio Indigo has been invited to create the design concept.

The 60-metre superyacht with Amels Hybrid technology, Amels 60 offers cruising at up to 7 knots on electric propulsion motors. The system will deploy multiple sources of energy, working together seamlessly throughout a wide operating profile.

The vessel’s owner will benefit from low noise and vibrations, lower fuel and maintenance costs while reducing harmful emissions. Amels 60 will feature a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots, while her top speed will make 15.5 knots.
