The 37-metre DOM123 is the latest superyacht concept presented by the Italian shipyard CCN at the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vouz.
The first concept in a new series of CCN is called "DOM", which comes from Latin word "Domus", meaning "home". DOM123 boasts design by Stefano Vafiadis, with aluminium semi-displacement hull, with a top speed of 21 knots and cruising speed of 18 knots, powered with twin 2,500hp MTU engines. When trimmed back to economical speed of 12 knots, DOM123 will be able to cover a range of 3,000 nautical miles. Large internal volumes are available due to the vessel's beam of 8.7-metre and adding more stability even in rough sea conditions.
In traditional fashion, the Dom123 has a more formal main saloon, with a dining area, and a more casual skylounge. A nice surprise in the skylounge, though, is a cinema screen. A handy pantry on this deck keeps snacks and drinks flowing no matter how long the movie is. Also handy, and practical, the galley sits on the main deck, naturally just forward of the dining room.
Additionally practical, CCN and Studio Vafiadis place the captain’s cabin adjacent to the wheelhouse. The crew cabins are all below decks, with a mess and laundry area close by.
Wherever she cruises, the yacht invites buyers and guests to enjoy alfresco relaxation, of course. Sliding doors and windows in the sky lounge open it up to a dining area out on deck, for example. The ubiquitous hot tub sits on the flying bridge, meanwhile. And, for more fun on the water, the tender garage can store a tender of 6 meters. Additional toys like a PWC can sit on the foredeck, with a dedicated launching crane.
