Van der Valk has launched its 33 meter fully-custom superyacht Blue Jeans at a facility in Waalwijk in the Netherlands. The motor yacht features exterior and interior design by Guido de Groot Design, and naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design.
According to renders, Blue Jeans features a warm and contemporary interior. From the outset the interior concept for Blue Jeans revolved around having significantly higher-than-average ceilings throughout the main deck. This was a key element for the owners as they set about building a fully custom boat, with ceiling heights of no less than 2.50 meters in the main saloon. She has a formal dining area and a bar at the main saloon, the spacious sundeck and foredeck lounge with sun pads, a U-shaped sofa and a dining table.
Two other parameters taken into account when designing the interior were its multi-functional use and the desire for a fusion of Northern European and Asian styles. “That aside we had carte blanche to develop an interior based on the preferences of several generations of the owner’s family,” says designer Guido de Groot. “They challenged us to surprise them with our ideas, constantly pushing us to go a step further as we explored custom solutions. It was great fun to work with such adventurous clients… On various occasions we offered a range of different options, keeping the most radical until last, and that was what they would go for”.
Blue Jeans can accommodate eight guests across four cabins, including an owner suite, two VIP's and one twin.
The full aluminum hull and superstructure equipped by twin MTU engines. She will have a top speed of 28 knots and cruise at 22.4 knots.
Blue Jeans delivery is scheduled for the end of 2022.
