Camper & Nicholsons announces the launch of the 24m Vero, a Codecasa motor yacht crafted entirely from aluminum. Designed by Luca Dina Design & Architecture, this vessel emerged from a project orchestrated by Carmen Lau, Senior Advisor at Camper & Nicholsons, for a discerning Asian client in 2021. The construction by Codecasa in Italy was expertly supervised by Camper & Nicholsons' New Build team, with Sara Maggi serving as the adept Project Manager.
Vero embodies a harmonious blend of classic aesthetics and modern functionality. Infused with state-of-the-art technology, the yacht is powered by two MAN D2862LE426 V12 engines, each boasting 1550 hp. This powerhouse enables Vero to reach an impressive top speed of 25 knots, with a commendable range exceeding 2,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 9 knots. Complementing the yacht is a fully customized aluminum tender.
The interior of Vero features a saloon lounge and an owner’s cabin on the main deck, along with three guest cabins on the lower deck and two dedicated crew cabins. Adding to the allure is an aft beach club, creating an inviting space for relaxation and enjoyment.
Carmen Lau, Senior Advisor of Camper & Nicholsons Asia, expressed, “Vero is truly extraordinary, blending vintage charm with modern elegance through its use of mahogany, stainless steel, and a touch of '60s chic. The client fell in love with this project from the very start. We eagerly await the arrival of this exceptional gem in Asia, confident that she will captivate the attention of anyone who sees her."
The unique challenge of infusing the distinctive features of a superyacht into a smaller-sized vessel was met with enthusiasm by the Camper & Nicholsons team. Daniela Duck, Head of New Build Division, shared, “It was an exciting challenge to achieve the distinctive features of a superyacht in a smaller-sized vessel. With our Project Manager Sara Maggi on site throughout the two-year build and collaborating closely with the builder and buyer’s teams, we were able to deliver a highly functional and elegant motor yacht."
Ennio Buonomo, CEO of Cantieri Navali Codecasa, commended the collaborative effort, stating, “This yacht is a ‘one off.’ I would like to thank our builder’s team, headed by the project manager Roberto Dalle Mura and the Camper & Nicholsons New Build team for their professionalism. This is a unique yacht and it is going to the East!”
Vero is slated for delivery in Spring 2024.
