Yesterday marked another milestone at Oceanco as Y726, one of its new construction projects, was transported along the Oude Maas River. The journey took the yacht from Oceanco's initial construction facilities in Zwijndrecht to its outfitting facilities in Alblasserdam. This relocation signals the commencement of the final stages of Y726's construction, leading up to its launch, sea trials, and eventual delivery.
In a whimsically artistic touch, Rotterdam-based graffiti artist I AM EELCO was invited to paint onboard during Y726’s transportation, adding a playful and cheerful element to the significant moment in the project’s development.
Measuring an impressive 111 meters in length, with a beam of 16 meters and a displacement of 4,550gt, Y726 stands as one of the largest yachts in volume crafted by the esteemed Dutch shipyard. Espen Oeino International contributed to the striking exterior design, while the warm and refined interior is the creation of Mark Berryman Design. The yacht can accommodate up to 28 guests, catered to by a crew of up to 34. Lateral and Oceanco’s in-house team collaborated on Y726's naval architecture.
Among its notable features are a winter garden, covered cocktail area, outdoor cinema, sundeck lounge, private owner's area with a hot tub, and a versatile entertainment space featuring a hot tub and swimming pool on the main deck aft. The interior boasts a cinema, gym, spa with a sauna and steam room, and a beach club lounge with a bar that opens directly onto the swimming platform. Large integrated windows throughout provide breathtaking views from the yacht's interior.
Dan Jackson from Falcon Yacht Management expressed, “Y726 is a prime example of what can be achieved when all parties at the table work together in a positive and collaborative way. We are very much looking forward to entering the next phase of this project and delivering the client a stunning yacht."
Edske Smit, Oceanco's Project Director, added, “We are looking forward to getting started on the next phase of Y726’s construction in the New Year. There has been a very collaborative spirit on the project so far, and she promises to be a spectacular addition to the Oceanco fleet once delivered. We are grateful for the positive partnership that has developed among everyone involved, including the co-makers and owner’s team.”
