Latest Renderings of 35m SW108 Hybrid Shared by Southern Wind
Southern Wind has shared the latest renderings of the shipyard's new 35 meter SW108 Hybrid sailing yacht. The first Southern Wind project to be conceived and engineered as hybrid from its origin and will open the world of green performance sailing. First images were revealed in the spring of 2021. The first hull is currently undergoing the final stages of the lamination process and is scheduled for delivery in 2023. The SW108 Hybrid is based on a versatile design platform that can be adapted to suit her owner’s expectations. The yacht was penned by Nauta Design and Farr Yacht Design.The SW108 Diesel Electric Hybrid propulsion system is designed in collaboration with BAE Systems, the diesel electric system is based on a combination of two highly efficient generators with a high-voltage lithium battery bank and electric propulsion motor. This system allows for a more efficient consumption of fossil fuels while achieving a lower level of harmful emissions.The deck and interior design can be fully customized. Both the owner’s cabin forward and aft configurations, feature three guest cabins amidships. This four guest cabin arrangement allows for a spacious and enjoyable L-shaped social area forward of the saloon that includes living and dining areas and a TV lounge. All guest cabins can be conceived as multifunctional to be used as an onboard studio with a day head, a gym/sauna or converted into a regular cabin.SW108 Hybrid can host a 5m tender. MarineMax Acquires IGY Marinas
MarineMax, the world’s largest recreational boat and yacht retailer, has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Island Global Yachting LLC (“IGY Marinas”).MarineMax will acquire IGY Marinas for $480 million in cash, with an additional potential earnout of up to $100 million two years after closing, subject to the achievement of defined performance metrics. IGY Marinas, through recent acquisitions and organic growth, is projected to generate over $100 million of revenue in 2022. Subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, MarineMax expects the acquisition to close in the first half of fiscal 2023 and to be accretive within the first twelve months of closing.IGY Marinas is a global network of 23 curated marinas in the Americas, the Caribbean, and Europe. 24m Fantasea Blue Listed for Sale
Camper & Nicholsons has announced its appointment as the Central Agent for the sale of Fantasea Blue with Sales Broker Maël Fiolet. The 24.28m sailing yacht was designed by German Frers and built by Barcos Deportivos. The yacht has an outstanding condition and has been maintained by her experienced owner and experienced crew.Constructed in carbon and built to Lloyds classification, Fantasea Blue has been captivating the interest of discerning sailors and yacht enthusiasts since 2005. Fantasea Blue combines a powerful sail plan with a light hull, whilst retaining all the attributes of a true blue water cruiser.A carefully considered deck layout provides an alfresco dining area with a teak table in the cockpit, shade when desired, space to sunbathe, and stowage a 4m tender on the foredeck. The arrangement separates the helm and areas of crew activity from the guest relaxation space.She provides accommodation for six guests across three guest suites. The master stateroom is positioned forward in the bow, and all the cabins are en suite.In the main saloon there’s a lounge area and dining space, and the interior is well lit with natural light. 88m Project X Delivered by Golden Yachts
The 88 meter Project X has been delivered by Greek Golden Yachts. Project X has an exterior design by British studio Ken Freivokh, and 3,000 GT interior was drawn by Massari Design. Massari Design used more than 150 different materials such as rare leather, marble and wood, to decorate the guest areas.Project X spreads across five decks and features one of the largest circular glass elevators installed on a superyacht. The yacht can accommodate 14 guests across seven suites. Her master suite and VIP suite offer a lot of privacy and are located on the bridge deck. She has a large, light-drenched gym on the sundeck, a three meter glass-walled swimming pool, a hot tub, a helipad, a beach club with a wellness suite with a hammam and a sauna. The garage houses the yacht’s Pedrazzini boat.Performance wise the new Golden Yachts superyacht is equipped with twin Caterpillar engines that give her a maximum speed of 17.5 knots. She can reach a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 14 knots. Project X will make her international debut at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show.Golden Yachts was founded in 1996. The company began its activities by consulting and supervising the construction of the 42m luxury M/Y O’Pari new building at Intermarine SpA. Golden Yachts entered a new era in the 2000’s with a team of enthusiastic and committed naval architects and engineers. Currently, Golden Yachts are constructing an 88m M/Y named Project X. 80m Superyacht Revealed by M51 Concepts
The newest 80-meter superyacht concept was revealed by M51 Concepts. The concept named Forge has a 1,750 GT of interior volume and obsidian black hull and main superstructure with orange for her sharps. Thanks to her pyramid superstructure she has the placement of a private panoramic glass ceiling in the master’s suite. A sky lounge has vaulted ceilings that blend the interior and exterior spaces. Forge features a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck, a swimming pool, a wellness and full-beam tender garage.The Forge will have an Ice Class hull and a hybrid diesel engine, and a range of 5,000 nautical mile.Credits: M51 Concepts
