Gulf Craft (UAE ) has announced sea trials of 37-m Majesty 120. Her sea trials will take place over the coming weeks and will see the yacht's electrical system, engines and generator systems put through its paces. The Majesty 120 model was first presented by executive chairman Mohammed H. Alshaali at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show.Majesty 120 is constructed using advanced composites such as GRP and carbon fibre. Gulf Craft’s design studio is responsible for her naval architecture and exterior design, while the Italian studio of Cristiano Gatto Design Team undertook the interior design of the yacht.The internal profile of the yacht is distinguished by clear geometric lines and modern style. The interior is decorated in classic muted grey, black and aqua tones.A hallmark aboard the Majesty 120 can be found in its huge sun deck, which is by shipyard words 30 per cent larger than yachts in its class.Board accommodates up to 11 guests in five spacious cabins in an asymmetric layout, which are looked after by up to seven crew members.Key details include an 8.1-metre beam and two-metre draft while the exterior design is characterised by aggressive lines, extensive glass and low bulwarks.The Majesty 120 is the first Majesty model equipped with fully airborne electric drive equipment, allowing it to have a quiet environment and less demanding life, leaving only two 2600-hp MTU engines and diesel generators.

Turkish superyacht builder Numarine with design studio Hot Lab has recently presented the interior design of Numarine 32XP Explorer Superyacht.Hot Lab describes her decoration as “homely, surprising and entertaining”, because she features an injection of new materials and a new “white and bright” colour palette.Numarine 32XP offers volumes of internal living spaces on board, with her steel hull construction and GRP superstructure allowing the yard and her owner to create unique layouts internally and customized external spaces, both of which have been penned by Can Yalman.Numarine 32XP has a displacement of just under 300 GT, the maximum limit of the category. The main deck offers a generous cockpit that also provides for a comfortable stern sunpad area right behind the couch seating, for a total of 64 square meters of living space (including side passages). An expansive salon of 48 square meters leads to a lobby area with a day head and a separate gym on the starboard side, and then to a full-beam forward master cabin with more than 30 square meters of space and separate his and hers bathrooms sharing a central shower. Centre-ship on the port side, a fully functional kitchen with 4 full-height refrigerators links to the salon via a pantry area and to the crew quarters below, connected to the external portside passage with a crew-dedicated entrance. Below deck, the layout offers 2 VIP Cabins mid-ship and 2 double cabins, all with ensuite bathrooms, and over 85 square meters of living space. Below deck forward, the 5 person crew quarters provide spaces for the captain with his private cabin + ensuite, and 4 crew members in two doubles with ensuite. A crew kitchen with dinette area and a laundry room complete the crew area. On the upper deck, an owner’s cabin with over 40 square meters of living space including a large walk-in closet and an owner’s bathroom opens up via sliding doors to the large upper deck.This deck can fit in navigation a 9 meter RIB tender and two jet-skis with the help of the 2,5 Tons crane. Forward of the wheelhouse, in the Numarine tradition, one can find a large couch area with bimini and cocktail table and two extensive sunpad areas. Total external space on the upper deck is 129 square meters. Finally, the flybridge offers 60 square meters of entertainment space customized to include in the first unit 3 couches, a 12 person dining table, two large sun pad areas a fully-fitted bar, 3 navigation seats and a central secondary helm station. Performance-wise the new Numarine 32XP, exploiting the yard's engineering capabilities together with its long-standing partner naval architect Umberto Tagliavini, has a displacement hull that will give the yacht a top speed of 14 knots, a cruise speed of 12knots, and a 3,000 Nm range at an economical speed of 9 knots.In designing the 32XP, Numarine paid considerable attention, with the assistance of its longstanding partner Silent Line, to elimination and reduction of all noise and vibration sources, with the goal of surpassing RINA “Comfort Class” Certification and achieving comfort levels of 50 meters in a 32 meters superyacht.

UK superyacht yards Princess Yachts and Sunseeker International have donated Personal Protective Equipment to workers fighting coronavirus.Princess Yachts has donated its stock of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to frontline workers fighting coronavirus.By words of Princess Yachts chief executive, Antony Sheriff “We hope this donation of our PPE goes some way to helping NHS staff and other such services in these incredibly difficult times.”Also, Sunseeker has donated around 400 face masks and 4000 gloves to local Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.By words of Sunseeker chief operating officer, Michael Straughan this help was “to support our hardworking NHS workers as they continue their exceptional frontline work against coronavirus.”

DLBA Naval Architects created a new artificial intelligence concept, that makes it possible for some systems to be operated without any human interference.A new artificial intelligence concept which DLBA Naval Architects has been working on for some months not only means smarter operation onboard yachts, it means some systems can be operated with the human element removed when need be.DLBA has selected a 58m superyacht concept to develop internally as an autonomous yacht. The result, TEMPO, will be a study in all vessel systems where artificial intelligence can be used to enhance an owner’s experience onboard.There are three main areas where autonomous technology can be used in the maritime world - navigational autonomy, equipment health monitoring, and mechanical and electrical systems automation. All reduce the need for human input while increasing efficiency.Navigation autonomy relieves the workload on the vessel operator, and unmanned vessels have been operating in the commercial and military space for years. Hull, mechanical and electrical automation is like having an onboard engineering team at your fingertips. By ensuring elements at the sub-system level are AI-ready, the vessel can be kept operating at peak performance, efficiently. The number and complexity of auxiliary systems and equipment onboard yachts is increasing year-on-year, and with that comes the increasing demand on crews’ time to interpret feedback from the systems - equipment health monitoring lessens this demand on crew time.

The New Otam 70 HT has sporty but elegant and time fearless exterior lines, inspired by hypercars and aeronautic design. The yacht was designed by the Italian BG Design Firm studio with respecting and enhancing the Otam Brand style and Identity and new hull lines by Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design.Otam 70 HT has a deep V hull with a 21° deadrise angle together with the remarkable engine room volume. The yacht has incomparable fuel efficiency and unmatchable performances even with high seas. “Built-In” interiors is characterized by assembled but entirely built wood onboard space, reaching unconventional quality and solidity, a unique approach that ensure time fearless results and limitless aesthetic or layout choice.The yacht will include a sunbed on top of the transom tender garage and a sunbed at the bow. The first hull will also feature a three-cabin layout, including a full 5.4-metre beam owner’s suite forward with a separate crew cabin at the bow. With an overall length of 22 meters and a beam of 5.40 meters, the yacht offers a transom tender garage, the stabilization system and large volume engine room. Power will come from a pair of 2000hp MAN or MTU engines for a top speed of 50 knots.The yacht will make its international debut at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival.
