On Saturday morning, January 25, the first Diamond 145 hull was launched on Benetti slipways in Viareggio. The 44-meter flagship of the Class category was named INK. According to the representatives of the shipyard, the moment when the 44-meter flagship with a composite body first touched the water in front of the entire city became very emotional. Azimut|Benetti Group President Paolo Vitelli spoke of a spectacular launch. “Slipway launches are part of the history of Benetti shipyards. We have a great tradition and hundreds of yacht launches to our name, but the revolutionary features of the Class category today promise to bring Benetti new success. This slipway is in fact a launch pad for our technical expertise and desire to push ahead, in a technological challenge focused on the goal of continuity”. Motor yacht INK can accommodate up to 10 guests across four cabins. The main deck master suite hosts a spacious wardrobe, a large full-beam bathroom, and a private office. The comfortable lounge area is located in the main deck salon, while the dining area is on the upper deck in the sky lounge. Designed to improve life on board for the owners, guests, and crew, INK provides an enjoyable cruising experience. Giorgio M. The 44-meter Diamond 145 with a composite hull is distinguished by the volume of interior space and deck space that are unsurpassed in size. On board there are 4 huge open recreation areas: aft cockpit, upper deck terrace, sundeck and an extensive “beach” with a spa pool on the bow of the yacht with an area of 70 square meters. Two wide staircases from the bathing platform lead to the aft cockpit of the main deck - they are also an architectural feature of Diamond 145. The cockpit is connected to the main deck cabin, where the glazing is made in full height. In the center there is a dining room, and in the bow there are master apartments. At the same time, the galley and other working areas are designed to remain invisible, but provide high-quality service on board. On the upper deck, the cabin is 80% glazed around the perimeter, which, in particular, provides not only a panoramic view to the guests of the yacht, but also an excellent view to the captain from the wheelhouse. The outdoor aft terrace is an ideal place for informal al fresco dining. Optionally, on the same deck you can plan a VIP cabin in addition to the 4 guest cabins on the lower deck. A level above the sundeck with an area of 115 sq.m can be planned and equipped in full accordance with the wishes of the future owner. You can also fully customize the beach club in the stern. Two engines of 1400 hp provide Diamond 145 ’a top speed of 15 knots and a fuel capacity of 60,000 liters - autonomy up to 3,800 nautical miles.

Royal Huisman’s in-construction 55m motor-yacht PHI has been wheeled underneath her superstructure at Royal Huisman’s facilities in Vollenhove, Holland, and is now in the shipyard’s largest Shipbuilding Hall 2 which provides the room for precise alignment, assembly and further outfitting of the radical, fast displacement, sub-500GT motor yacht Project PHI. The Dutch shipyard, in collaboration with Van Oossanen Naval Architects and Cor D. Rover, were challenged to “install comprehensive machinery and technical systems within the relatively low volume of a long, slender hull.” The resulting 55-metre Fast Displacement motor-yacht, which remains under the 500GT mark, boasts a sporty look backed with high-level performance engineering. PHI’s superstructure was equally well-prepared and detailed by all main engineering departments of the shipyard, but its production was outsourced. A typical example of today’s process-based possibilities at Royal Huisman, which are more flexible capacity-wise than ever before, working in close collaboration with selected and highly qualified co-makers for new build (and Huisfit) projects. Fast and lightweight design with high fuel efficiency, PHI will be able to reach speeds of about 22 knots and will accommodate 2 owners and 10 guests. The PHI will ship with an accompanying 36-meter support vessel, which is currently being built in Asia on Alia yachts, and is scheduled to be delivered to its owner in 2021. The support vessel was also designed by Cor D. Rover and Van Oossanen Naval Architects and is currently under construction in Asia.

Lürssen has launched its 87 metre motor yacht Project Hawaii. The gross internal volume of the yacht with a length of 87 m will be 2950 GT, which is larger than, for example, the 99-meter Madame Gu (2920 GT). The hull is made of steel, and the superstructure is made of aluminum. The exterior design of the vessel was developed by Bannenberg & Rowell. Details of the layout are not reported, but the photographs show that on the bow of the main deck there will be a helipad, and a beach club with a round pool will be located in the aft part. Project Hawaii will be equipped with two MTU 16V 4000 diesel engines with a capacity of 2,311 hp. each. The yacht is expected to be handed over to the owner in 2020. The contract for Project Hawaii construction was signed 3 years ago.

Italian superyacht builder Ferretti Yachts has announced its new flagship on boot Düsseldorf 2020. The 30.48 m long Ferretti Yachts 1000 superyacht with a carbon fiber hull promises to set a record for internal volume among 100-foot boats. Ferretti Group chief operating officer Stefano de Vivo stated that Introduced Ferretti Yachts 1000 will become the “biggest 100-foot boat on the market”. The exterior of the superyacht was designed by Filippo Salvetti, and the interiors were designed by IdeaeItalia Studio. The novelty will partly inherit the appearance from previous Ferretti Yachts models, and partly it will be able to guess the aesthetics of a series of yachts with a flybridge of another Ferretti Group brand - Riva. The racers will go inside the bulwarks on the sides of the two L-shaped sofas with tables, and not close on the nose, like all today's Ferretti Yachts models. Thus, the fence will not block the view of the company of guests, which gathered in the bow. On the other hand, the silhouette of the yacht will look more elegant due to the combination of curves: a thin line of rails, a pointed nose and bulwarks of the upper deck ending in a spacious flybridge. De Vivo stressed that the “revolutionary stern” of the 1000th model will be fundamentally new to Ferretti Yachts and will “change the way our owners use the stern of the boat”, he said. During the construction of the vessel, carbon fiber will be used, which will also lead to lower fuel consumption. “Because you’re lighter, you go faster with less fuel,” Stefano de Vivo said. Details of the layout, data on the number of guests on board and driving characteristics of the Ferretti Yachts 1000 will be published later. Meanwhile, Ferretti Group chief executive Alberto Galassi described the new model as “the biggest revolution in the Ferretti Yachts brand.”

She stores nine tenders, including a custom 12.5-metre enclosed Limo, an 11-metre open Limo, a 9-metre beach landing craft and an 8.5-metre Super Air Nautique Coastal.
