At the heart of Sialia's success is the collaboration between co-founder Stanislav Szadkowski, a veteran in green mobility with over two decades of experience in battery manufacturing, and Tomasz Gackowski, the founder and CEO of Ampros. Together, they have developed the most advanced systems in the industry. According to Milvio Ricci, Chief Operating Officer at Sialia Yachts, Ampros functions as a system integrator, having developed what is arguably the first truly practical and functional all-electric drivetrain in the marine market.
The proprietary SMS acts as the "brain" of the drivetrain. Ricci explains that the SMS ensures the safety and optimal performance of the system by monitoring operations and enabling predictive and preventative maintenance. This capability is a key reason Sialia can offer extended warranties on its systems, including the batteries. The SMS also maximizes battery output, similar to how a performance map enhances a car engine's ECU. By safely accessing extra bands of capacity, the SMS allows Sialia yachts to utilize a greater percentage of the battery's potential. This capability has been proven by Sialia Yachts' first model, the 17.6-meter Sialia 57 "Deep Silence," which has lost only 2% of its total battery capacity over three years of extensive operation.
The system also features a user-friendly graphical interface (GUI) that provides real-time information about the yacht's performance, range, and system status. The GUI also allows operators to monitor the status of pumps, cooling systems and battery systems, switch on the optional renewable-diesel range extender and more. Sialia has prioritized safety in its battery pack design. The batteries are engineered to prevent fires, with IP67-rated cases that discharge quickly if water intrusion occurs. Additionally, the batteries are installed in banks, ensuring continued operation even if one battery experiences a problem.
The Ampros system at the core of Sialia Yachts is fully upgradeable, future-proofing the yachts as battery technology evolves. Owners can easily swap in new battery packs with higher capacity, instantly increasing range. The SMS also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing for on-the-fly improvements to system performance and efficiency. These features, along with the minimal maintenance needs of the electric drivetrain, ensure that Sialia Yachts will hold their value far longer than traditional yachts with combustion engines.

Turkish builder ART Shipyard, part of Besiktas Group, will unveil its first superyacht – the 35-meter Bee Explorer – at the Cannes Yachting Festival from September 9-14. The steel-hulled explorer with aluminum superstructure was designed by Hydro Tec to stay under 300GT while offering a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 10 knots. Italian builder Extra Yachts has launched the first 28-meter X90 Fast motor yacht, with plans to display the vessel at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. The GRP-built yacht, sold through broker Kristina Falkone of Aberton Yachts, features exterior and interior design by Hot Lab with naval engineering by the shipyard.The X90 Fast offers 86 square meters of exterior deck space across three cockpit levels - a dining area for 8-10 guests, lounge seating, and a waterside sunbathing platform. Interior spaces include four guest cabins with the master suite positioned amidships to utilize the 7.1-meter beam. Crew accommodations consist of two cabins forward.Powered by triple Volvo Penta IPS1350 engines (1,000hp each), the yacht reaches a top speed of 30 knots with a cruising speed of 24 knots. At 12 knots, the range extends to 1,000 nautical miles. Wally has completed construction of the second wallywind110 sailing yacht, scheduled for its world premiere in late August in Costa Smeralda. The 33.5-meter vessel shares the same judel/vrolijk & co-designed performance hull and carbon construction as its sistership Galma, while introducing several custom modifications.Key updates include a sand-grey hull color scheme, lighter interior finishes, and a reconfigured lower salon with a multifunctional workspace replacing the bar area. The VIP cabin now features a sliding bed system converting between single and double configurations. Studio Santa Maria Magnolfi maintained the exterior and interior design continuity with the first unit, preserving the wallywind series' signature elements: dedicated helm stations, integrated swim platform, and expansive guest areas.Performance features include a telescopic keel (adjustable from 4.5 to 6.95 meters), twin rudders, and a carbon rigging system from Hall Spars with North Sails.
