Evo Yachts has introduced its latest model, the Evo R4+, at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024. The new 13-meter yacht is an evolution of the Evo R+, featuring an enclosed deck design and two new key features: an aluminum hard top and a custom multifunctional stern platform. These enhancements emphasize the yacht's focus on transformability, allowing for versatile use across different conditions and needs.
The Evo R4+ was developed by Evo Yachts, owned by the Mercuri brothers, in collaboration with designer and naval engineer Valerio Rivellini. The yacht is designed to combine the open-air experience of a walkaround with the comfort of a cabin cruiser. Key innovations include a partially removable aluminum hard top and an extended aft deck with a multifunctional platform, which adds an additional meter to the yacht's length. The design also includes "XTension" bulwarks, a signature feature of the brand, enhancing the usability of the beach area.
Powered by two 535 HP Volvo Penta IPS 650 engines, the Evo R4+ is capable of reaching a top speed of 34 knots and has a range of approximately 300 nautical miles. The interior spaces are designed with a focus on transformability, offering both spaciousness and comfort.
In addition to the Evo R4+, Evo Yachts is also showcasing the second unit of the Evo R+, an 18-meter yacht designed for extended stays onboard. This model features a minimalistic, sporty design with an enclosed main deck, high-ceilinged interiors, and advanced propulsion via a pair of Volvo Penta IPS 950 engines, which can achieve a top speed of around 33 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots.
The Evo Yachts shipyard is based near Naples. She was born in 2014 from a fortunate encounter between Blu Emme Yachts and the Neapolitan yacht designer Valerio Rivellini. The heart and entrepreneurship that kick-started EVO originated from Blu Emme Yachts, a luxury yachts refitting company. Blu Emme was created in 2013 by the Mercuri brothers, a family whose entrepreneurial experience spans different industries.
