CL Yachts has announced that its first Sea Activity Vessel (SAV), the award winning CLX96, is currently en route to the United States. The yacht was recently loaded onto a transport vessel and is making the long trek across the Pacific Ocean and through the Panama Canal with a final destination of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
CLX96, while built for an international clientele, is exceptionally outfitted for the U.S. market. Her silhouette was drawn up by Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis, who brought a fresh touch and a rebel’s insight to the sketches. She takes some of her design cues from workboats, with a two-level deckhouse and an inverted windshield that will clear rough water much more quickly than a traditionally raked windshield. The design also helps keep the yacht’s interior cool by reducing any greenhouse effect given by overhanging glass.
The yacht has already won the Good Design Award 2020, a Bronze A’ Design Award 2021 as well as the prestigious award from the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2021. She can accommodate eight guests across four cabins. A focus on interior volume will also keep passengers happy, with enormous decks on which to luxuriate while underway – with private spaces to steal away for a quiet cup of coffee or a moment with a book. When the yacht needs to get to port quickly, it can make an impressive 24–25 knots at full speed and full load.
Once CLX96 makes landfall in the Sunshine State, she will undergo sea trials with a select group of potential owners this summer. Then CL Yachts will make her ready for the big stage at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Sakura, the latest creation by Feadship, embraces the essence of its Japanese namesake, the cherry blossom. Nautor Swan has shared the pictures from the launch of the Swan 108, the first unit of the new generation of Maxi Swan. The yacht is the result of cooperation of German Frers for Naval Architecture, Misa Poggi for Interior Design and Lucio Micheletti, Micheletti + Partners, for exterior styling.Built with a full carbon hull and deck in epoxy Sprint technology from carbon molds, the S/Y will be registered with Rina charter classification. The yacht features the new dual-acting transom door. This simple yet robustly engineered mechanism, is a major “small” revolution. The stern opens along with part of the aft deck to give the customer an oversized beach club. This solution allows to double the space available for this important area of the boat, as well as making the tender management far easier. The beach area does not compromise interior volumes.On deck, the coamings widen in the aft part of the cockpit, allowing a further outboard position for the steering stations while still maintaining good helm protection. Renowned British design studio Andy Waugh Yacht Design has introduced an innovative 80-meter catamaran concept named Decadence. Inspired by the technological advancements witnessed in the 1920s automotive and aeronautical industries, the design aims to capture the essence of that era while pushing the boundaries of modern design and engineering.According to the studio, Decadence represents the potential of the SWATH (Small-Waterplane-Area-Twin-Hull) hull form. This distinctive catamaran configuration features submerged cylindrical hulls connected to a central structure by stilts, offering unprecedented aesthetic possibilities yet to be fully explored in the luxury superyacht sector.The futuristic hull design enables notable technical advancements, including an estimated 70% reduction in pitch and roll movements compared to conventional monohull superyachts, ensuring enhanced comfort and safety for passengers.With a generous beam of 30 meters, the 5,000 gross tonnage (GT) vessel offers expansive interior spaces. The first unit of the Mangusta Oceano 39 was launched last 31 May in the presence of her owner. She is the entry level in the Mangusta Oceano displacement line developed and engineered by the shipyard's Engineering Department together with designer Alberto Mancini and design firm Studio Verme for the engineering part, this three-decker harmoniously combines design and technology, endowing her entire category with a very strong identity.“We are so proud to see the first unit of this innovative new model in the water. The Mangusta Oceano 39 is a new three-decker characterized by huge glazed surfaces, where supporting structures and bulwarks have, conversely, been minimized, so as to offer the closest possible contact with the sea", says Overmarine Group's CEO Maurizio Balducci. The Mangusta Oceano 39 redefines luxury living at sea, resembling a contemporary villa with expansive glass surfaces and larger volumes than typical for its class. The main and upper deck saloons feature floor-to-ceiling windows, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces to create a stunning open-plan living environment. The aft area and foldable terraces grant access to the beach house, serving as a natural extension by the sea where guests can indulge in utmost privacy and relaxation.A distinctive "Mangusta Design feature" is the infinity pool located forward on the upper deck.
