The 82.48-meter superyacht Secret from Abeking & Rasmussen sold for the first time since her 2013 delivery. During the talks, Andrew Bond of Fraser represented the buyer and Matt Emerson of Burgess represented the seller. She underwent frequent maintenance and refit appointments over the years, and in 2021, she finished her five-year Class Survey.
An experienced owner approached the German shipyard with plans by Sam Sorgiovanni Designs to commission the superyacht Secret. 2019 saw her enter the market, and the Australian studio made the following comment, “Her long sweeping sheer line accentuates the vessel’s generous size, while her smooth and rounded superstructure is a truly unique style that is timeless, yet elegant.”
Sam Sorgiovanni proposed a four-metre shorter design, but she was lengthened to “enable the owner to have a large fore-aft dining table and expansive seating on the main deck aft, as well as a big beach club aft of the tender garage,” Sorgiovanni explained.
Secret has a staggering 2,240 GT and a thoughtfully planned overall layout. Her commissioning owner was closely involved in the design process. She is therefore overflowing with unwavering appeal. The interior design studio, J.W. HARRIS, gave the Art Deco era a modern spin by incorporating all the contemporary accoutrements one would expect on a yacht of this calibre and class while making extensive use of bold and irregular patterns.
The superyacht has seven luxurious staterooms that may accommodate up to 15 guests. Secret has plenty of space both inside and outside on her decks because socializing was a high priority during the design process. Among her many amenities are a sizable Jacuzzi, many bars, a screening room, and an elevator that serves all decks.
Secret's twin CAT engines, which let her to cruise at 14 knots and attain a top speed of 16.5 knots, are what give her her performance. Her hull and superstructure are made of steel and aluminum, respectively.
Secret is the third largest superyacht to be delivered by Abeking & Rasmussen, was listed for sale at €78,500,000.
Abeking & Rasmussen was founded in October 1907. The German based shipyard is looking back to 114 years of ship and yacht building. A&R is now able to launch yachts of up to 125 meters length.
