The 67.9-meter superyacht Aviva, built by Abeking & Rasmussen, has been sold in an internal transaction facilitated by Pierre Vezilier at IYC.

Originally commissioned by a British businessman, Aviva was delivered in 2007 as the flagship vessel of the renowned German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen. This was the second yacht to carry the name, as the owner upgraded from a 62-meter Feadship before acquiring her. Notably, Aviva served as the predecessor to the distinctive blue-hulled 98.4-meter Aviva, also built by Abeking & Rasmussen.

With an impressive interior volume of 2,047 gross tons (GT) within a 68-meter length, Aviva provides spacious living areas comparable to larger vessels measuring 75 or 80 meters. Primarily used for private purposes, specific details are limited, but the superyacht can accommodate up to 16 guests and features amenities such as conference facilities, a beauty salon, a cinema, an elevator, and a gym. The interior design was skillfully executed by British Studio Reymond Langton.
Aviva has now been acquired by "another experienced owner" and is expected to undergo an extensive refit and technological upgrade under the new ownership.
The asking price for the sale of Aviva has not been disclosed.
The German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen was established in 1907 by George Abeking and Henry Rasmussen, the company first worked with the German Imperial Navy on several vessels including submarine destroyers and mine boats. Rasmussen then started designing wooden sailing and motor yachts which led to the construction of several pleasure crafts.
