A new 67-meter superyacht, designed by Italian designer Davide Benaglia, features advanced entertainment equipment and a hybrid propulsion system. Benaglia developed the vessel, named Hype-R, for Feadship’s Young Designer of the Year Award.

Hype-R is tailored to the needs of young digital natives. Though Benaglia did not win the competition, his design remains noteworthy. The yacht has a sleek, minimalist exterior inspired by video game controllers and sports cars, with flowing lines and dramatic curves.
The yacht has a beam of nearly 11 meters and an interior volume of 1,300 GT, providing ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The layout is meticulously designed for functionality. The sundeck is dedicated to the owner, featuring a suite with a living area and a private study for remote work. The yacht can accommodate up to eight guests in two staterooms and two VIP cabins.

The exterior includes various distinct zones. The upper deck is designed for relaxation, with a sunset lounge and romantic arches. The modular beach area aft can serve as a cinema, discotheque, or lounge by the water. The aft deck also features an asymmetrical pool that cascades over two levels, with fold-out platforms for additional space.

Hype-R includes state-of-the-art entertainment equipment and a high-tech hybrid propulsion system. The diesel-electric setup allows the yacht to reach a top speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
