Arcadia Yachts' A96 Wins Robb Report's Best Motoryacht of the Year Award
Arcadia Yachts' latest model, the A96, has been named Best Motoryacht of the Year in the Robb Report's "Best of the Best 2024" awards. The Robb Report, a US lifestyle magazine, is highly regarded in the international yachting industry and other luxury sectors.The A96 stands out for its design, which emphasizes holistic wellbeing and a connection with nature. The interior, designed by Igor Lobanov, features sleek lines and dark lacquered surfaces inspired by Art Deco. The jury was impressed by the yacht's spacious living areas, enabled by its 24-foot beam, and its design that encourages outdoor living in comfort.Arcadia Yachts' CEO Ugo Pellegrino noted that the award recognizes the A96's ability to meet the desires of modern yacht owners seeking total wellbeing. Pellegrino highlighted the yacht's design features, including large water-level terraces, a maneuverable propulsion system, and a top speed of 23-24 knots, which draw from the strengths of both the Sherpa and A lines. The A96 also emphasizes a strong connection with nature through its expansive windows that blend indoor and outdoor spaces.The A96's recognition by the Robb Report underscores its innovative design and appeal to contemporary yacht owners.Arcadia Yachts is based in Naples, Italy. Since 2008, Arcadia Yachts has been building semi-custom luxury composite yachts and has succeeded in perfectly integrating artisanal craftsmanship, modern technologies, attention to detail and to the surrounding environment. The Arcadia Yachts fleet has included two ranges since September 2016. The shipyard’s first and most characterizing range is the A range, which includes four models (A85, A85s, A105 and A115). Launch of Custom Line's First All-Aluminium 50m Superyacht
Custom Line has launched its first all-aluminium 50-meter superyacht, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The new flagship, Custom Line 50 M/Y Asante, made its debut at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona on June 8. The launch was celebrated with a private ceremony attended by the owner's family, shipyard management, and employees.Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi highlighted the innovative aspects of the new yacht. "The new Custom Line 50 represents cutting-edge research and innovation in both style and materials. Aluminium offers significant performance and fuel consumption benefits," he said. The Custom Line 50 opens a new market segment for the brand, with its design focusing on maximizing light and water exposure through detailed studies of the yacht's volumes and spaces.The 50-meter yacht, built entirely from aluminium, features a displacement hull under 499 GT, a length of 49.94 meters, and a beam of 9.60 meters. The project is a collaboration between the Product Strategy Department led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Superyachts Division Engineering team. Filippo Salvetti designed the exterior, while ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel crafted the interiors, blending marine tradition with contemporary design.Brokerage house Performance Boats USA, LLC represented the owner in the project. The yacht spans four decks, with the master suite located forward on the upper deck, offering a 180-degree view and direct access to a private terrace with a lounge area and sunpad. The yacht also features four VIP cabins on the lower deck, accommodating a total of 12 guests and 9 crew members, including the captain.Asante emphasizes on-board liveability and comfort. The yacht’s design enhances the connection between interior and exterior spaces, particularly in the main and upper deck lounges, which feature large floor-to-ceiling windows. Feadship Launches Project 713, Advancing Environmental Goals
Feadship has unveiled the 59.5m Project 713, marking a significant step in its commitment to environmental sustainability. With an elegant blue-grey hull and white superstructure, Project 713 continues Feadship's progress toward its climate neutrality target for 2030, following the launches of Obsidian and Project 821.Designed by Studio De Voogt with interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, Project 713 features several innovative technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact. It is the first Feadship vessel to incorporate solar cells for auxiliary power generation, boasting highly efficient silicon cells that produce up to 24 MWh annually. The yacht also includes a diesel-electric propulsion system and the capability to run on non-fossil HVO fuel.The hull of Project 713 is optimized for cruising speed rather than top speed, enhancing its energy efficiency. The vessel’s power system includes four generators and a 400 kWh battery, providing energy for both propulsion and hotel load.Project 713 is also notable for being the first new-build Feadship to use FSC-certified plantation teak for decking, ensuring sustainable harvesting practices. The yacht has undergone a Yacht Environmental Transparency Index (YETI) Assessment, ranking among the best in fleet with an impact 35% below average. The M66 RS is the latest addition to the world of blue water cruiser sailing yachts, designed to deliver an exceptional sailing experience with a focus on habitability, comfort, and safety. With an overall length of 20.4 meters and an innovative design, the Mylius M66RS aims to set a new standard in its category.The hull, designed by Alberto Simeone, showcases cutting-edge yacht design. It features a high prismatic coefficient for improved high-speed performance and a flared hull to reduce wetted surface area and enhance form stability. The flat aft sections increase course stability at high speeds, facilitating surfing and speed when using gennakers.Equipped with a generous sail plan and constructed from full carbon/epoxy, the Mylius M66RS boasts one of the highest sail area to displacement ratios in its class. Its sail area is one of the largest among similarly sized yachts, ensuring superior performance. The yacht is powered by a Yanmar 4LV170 125kW engine, providing reliable performance in all conditions.The technical specifications of the Mylius M66RS include a waterline length of 19.20 meters, a maximum beam of 5.73 meters, and a draft of 3.40 meters. The yacht has an approximate displacement of 24,200 kg and a ballast of about 8,450 kg.
