About CRN

CRN
Ancona, Italy
(+39) 071 5011 111
CRN was established in 1963 by Sanzio Nicolini to build steel and aluminium yachts for the high-end market. In the 1970s, Nicolini started collaboration with Carlo Riva, building eight yachts together.

In 1978, CRN made its first yacht over 45 meters, delivering the 47m Fath Al Khair for the Emir of Qatar. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, CRN's main clients were Middle Eastern or Greek, the Gulf War in the 1990s therefore had a big impact on the shipyard.

As a consequence, the company diversified to refitting and commercial ship construction. In 1999, the company was sold to the Ferretti Group. In 2013, CRN launched its 200th yacht, the 80m Chopi Chopi that became the yard's flagship.
