Construction of the Sirena Yachts 88 Hull No.1 is well underway. The build also is the largest build of this yacht marque to date. Her World Debut is scheduled at Cannes Yachting Festival 2019.
Sirena 88 is a true expedition-go-anywhere 26.8-meters yacht in comfort and safety on a dynamically stabilized offshore design. According to the hull characteristics and design, it is an evolution of her smaller sister Sirena 64, a low resistance that performs efficiently with a minimum of fuel consumption at high and at all speed ranges.
For the date the composite hull was fully vacuum infused, using E-glass and vinyl ester resin. The all-carbon-fiber-construction deck and superstructure also were vacuum-infused, and the hull, deck, and superstructure have been joined. Construction has also begun to fit out the furniture of the main-deck interior as well as areas on the lower deck and the flying bridge.
“We have some additional layout ideas that we are going introduce,” says Tanil Surmeli, product manager for Sirena Yachts “The Sirena 88 will make her debut at Cannes, but some additional layouts will also be shown there.”
Her advanced naval architecture by German Frers and the interior design is by well-known Cor D. Rover.
Exterior deck areas are well suited for entertaining. The aft deck extends the main saloon with a large al fresco dining area while the bridge deck with extra seating complements the sky lounge. The sun deck includes a bar, forward seating area and Jacuzzi aft.
The foredeck social area will be protected from wind and ensure privacy with high bulwarks, while a dipping pool will be flanked by sun pad lounge areas to either side. Down port and starboard, stairs will be the swim platform, served by a striking beach club built into the transom. The flying bridge will be a social space all its own with a bar serves another formal dining table while aft groupings of settees will surround large cocktail tables.
Accommodations space is very generous and includes the full-width Owner cabin with its own balcony to the sea, plus four en-suite, one of them a very large VIP guest suite. Two formal dinner areas, one “al fresco” on the upper deck and a second on the specially designated area on the main deck saloon are planned.
Sirena 88 features a five decks layout accommodating up to twelve persons with elegant and stylish decor. A full-beam crew area insulates the guest accommodations from the engine space and provides up to four crews with a private sitting room and two cabins.
The Sirena 88 will perform at both planning and displacement speeds comfortably and economically. She will be powered by 2/1,550-hp MAN diesel at cruising speed 16 knots and top speed 25 knots. With economy mode, she expected to have a range of 2,430 nautical miles at 9 knots.
Yacht Harbour will watch for future updates for Sirena 88 build progresses over the coming months, as the testing launch is expected in June.
