Silent-Yachts launches the new Silent Tender 400. Designed by the Silent-Yachts team, it is the first dedicated tender design from the successful electric yachting brand. Though it measures 4.0m from transom to bow, the tender borrows a number of the style cues from Silent-Yachts’ much larger 60ft and 80ft electric catamarans. There are the angular, contemporary lines, the rebated bulwark and signature black and white finish. And extreme efficiency.
Its carbon fiber lay-up ensures that the hull of the sporty-looking tender weighs no more than 90kg. That means it is lighter to lift out using the hydraulic bathing platform of a Silent 60, easier for the mother ship to carry and crucially, far more efficient to propel through the water.
“It follows the same design principles as our award-winning electric yachts, with dimensions that enable it to fit both the Silent 60 series and Silent 80 series yachts. What is more, the hull gives passengers a really dry ride, even at speed and in confused seas,” says Michael Köhler, founder and CEO.
Designed to carry six people with ease, the Silent Tender 400 was conceived as the ultimate tender for the solar-powered Silent 60 series yachts. But those same characteristics that suit it for the task are just as likely to appeal to those looking for a fun electric runabout or an efficient tender for a conventional yacht.
Designed with a central console, the simple, intuitive controls will appeal to the whole family. All it takes is a throttle, leather-padded wheel and a display showing speed, heading and depth. Meanwhile, the driver’s seat is flanked by two other seats for shared moments on the water, and there are two bow seats – all provided with practical hand holds. Boarding is via a step in the lowered bulwarks amidships.
Owners are able to choose between various inboard and outboard propulsion options. Inboard power comes via a 20kW electric waterjet, offering extremely low draught and ease of handling. With the sportier outboard, input power is either 20kW or 30kW, depending on the package selected. The higher rated motor is capable of propelling the boat at more than 20 knots, for an exciting, sporty ride.
Battery capacity is also a matter of choice. For performance reasons, Silent-Yachts has engineered the boat to carry either a standard 16kWh lithium battery or an upgraded 20kWh unit for more range. At a 10-knot cruising speed, expect a minimum of 2 hours’ drive time. Fast on-board charging can replenish the battery in just 2.5 hours.
According to Köhler the shipyard is already working on a larger 5.1m electric tender, specifically designed to fit the garage of the Silent 80 series yachts.
Silent-Yachts is producing the world’s first fully solar-sustainable oceangoing production catamaran yachts. They are powered exclusively by solar energy and capable of cruising up to 100 miles per day. In 2009, founders Heike and Michael Köhler, who have spent 6,000 days cruising more than 75,000 miles all around the world, launched the Solarwave 46, the first fully self-sufficient blue-water catamaran after years of testing solar-powered propulsion, and they have been building boats ever since.

The generous external volumes guarantee maximum pleasure even in the “al fresco” external area. Made of composite, in compliance with RINA standards and CE certifications, this 28.6-meter yacht features a forward garage that can accommodate a four-meter tender, a transformable swim platform and soundproofing systems to reduce noise and vibrations. The propulsion system of X96 Triplex can rely on three powerful Volvo Penta IPS engines of 1000 horsepower, each capable of pushing it to a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and cruising at 12 knots.Anvilugi is listed for sale by Fraser with an asking price of EUR9,500,000. Capoforte SQ240i, the first electric model by the Italian brand, will be on display at the next boot Düsseldorf (21-29 January 2023) and will be equipped with the 50kW Molabo ISCAD V50 inboard motor. This happened after quite a success at the most recent Genoa Boat Show (which included winning the Design Innovation Award 2022 in the “Motor boats up to 10m” category). About 20 superyachts secured a berth in Doha during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will take place from 20 November to 18 December. The list of largest yachts that has arrived in Doha, including the 123 meter Al Lusail, the 111 meter Lürssen Alaiya and 110 meter Feadship Anna, 85 meter Silver Yachts Bold. They can be found at the Old Doha Port.The recognizable lines of 123m Al Lusail were designed by H2 Yacht Design. Large glass facades provide panoramic views and pull natural light deep into the yacht. March & White gave her a contemporary yet timeless interior, with accommodation for 12 guests across six staterooms.Alaiya (ex-Tis) was launched by Lürssen in 2019. Her long and well-balanced sheerline and sleek interior was made by Winch Design Studio. Six decks and spacious guest areas make her a perfect yacht for entertaining on a grand scale.Anna was delivered by Feadship in 2018. She features the first bespoke diesel-electric propulsion system and landing pad for a tilt-rotor aircraft. Her stunning oyster-white hull was made by Michael Leach Design. The interior is a result of Brian J. McCarthy, Inc. and Michael Leach Design. The expedition superyacht Bold was launched in 2019 by SilverYachts. The vessel can accommodate up to 16 guests in its eight spacious en-suite cabins, as well as 21 crew-members.The yacht exterior was designed by Espen Oeino, and the interior by Vain Interiors. Located near the Corniche and Stadium 974, the Old Doha Port area has been transformed and reshaped into a marina and became a tourist destination for World Cup fans. Over 50 cafes and restaurants, 100 shops, and 150 hotel apartments, can be found at the Port. Northrop & Johnson has sold the 41.9m Kingship motor yacht Ocean’s Seven with yacht brokers Wes Sanford, Sean Doyle and Ed Dickinson acting on behalf of the seller. The expedition vessel Ocean’s Seven is the fifth yacht finished by Kingship in partnership with Vripack. She is an ideal yacht for offshore cruising and showcases exemplary Dutch craftsmanship.
