Feadship launch 73m Hasna for Australian owner
The 73-metre Hasna was launched for an Australian owner on Saturday, June 3, by Feadship, making it the first yacht ordered by an Australian customer in the Dutch shipyard's history.Designed by RWD, formerly known as Redman Whiteley Dixon prior to its acquisition of interior design studio, Pod Interior Style, Hasna was custom built to the requirements of her owner. Amongst the specificities are her layout are a beach club opening portside and starboard but not to the 73-metre's aft platform. This arrangement, combined with moving the engine room forward of the lower deck cabins, allows for an 8-meter deep water swimming pool, aft of the main deck. The beach club itself includes a gym and a relaxation area accessible directly from the cabins.Custom features on Hasna also include a butler's cabin, a cinema on the main deck and a 25-meter sundeck with an interior section amidship complete with a barbecue & grill set up and a three-metre Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads. The owner has been visiting boat shows for twenty-plus years leading up to this moment. Having owned and chartered other yachts, he ultimately chose Feadship for his first large build based on a conviction that quality and value for money are paramount.Steve Barker, Captain, M/Y Hasna
Lionheart spotted in Ibiza
Benetti's largest yacht to date, Lionheart, has been spotted in Ibiza. Construction on the yacht had started back in January 2012, the shipyard later confirmed it started building a 90m yacht for a repeat client in February 2012. Launched in February, 90m Lionheart was built for British business tycoon, Philip Green, who took delivery of a 63m Benetti yacht by the same name in 2006, now known as Lioness V. Lionheart overtakes the 86m Kingdom 5KR, launched in 1980, as Benetti's new flagship. Though the project has been shrouded in secrecy, it is known that Stefano Natucci collaborated with the Italian shipyard on the exterior design and Green & Mingarelli Design is responsible for the interior design.Although Lionheart remains Benetti's flagship for now, the shipyard is expected to deliver a 107-meter yacht in 2019 which is currently known as FB277. Oceanco's Jubilee returns from sea trials
Oceanco has launched Project Jubilee (Y714) on February 6. Measuring 110 metres, the largest vessel ever built in the Netherlands has been spotted in Rotterdam as she returned to the Dutch yard's facility in Alblasserdam after undergoing sea trials.Featuring six decks, the superyacht has 16.4m/54ft beam and just over 4,500 Gross Tons. Igor Lobanov has created a unique & architecturally challenging design which creates a visual effect of multi-level decks. She offers a fully certified helicopter operating deck forward with a concealed mooring deck below. Viewed from above, her curvaceous lines lead aft to a large pool deck with built in aquarium and substantial beach club below. Built to the Passenger Yacht Code, her Sam Sorgiovanni designed interior is both spacious and comfortable offering accommodation for up to 30 guests in 15 staterooms including an entirely private owner’s deck. This project was introduced to Oceanco by Burgess who also provided Technical Consultancy & Project Management throughout the entire build process. She represents a number of firsts in yachting, not only for her size, but also the fact that she is a fully turn-key project completely outfitted at delivery including all Owner’s supplies; tenders, spares, watersports equipment, china, crystal, silverware, table linen, sheets, loose furniture, cushions, etc.Jubilee is listed for sale by Burgess at an undisclosed price.Photos by Dutch Yachting
Baglietto launches 48m superyacht for a Mexican owner
Yesterday, on June 5th, Italian shipyard Baglietto has launched 48m superyacht Andiamo for a Mexican owner. This steel and aluminium displacement yacht under the 500GRT has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, who took care of both her exterior lines and interiors, the latter in cooperation with architect Margherita Casprini. The exterior lines represent the evolution of the renowned 46 m displacement model, drawing inspiration from the traditional features of Baglietto displacement yachts while also making room for innovation, as can be noticed in the ‘reversed’ glazing of the helm station forward, which increases visibility from the bridge and the new and more modern athwart garage aft forward of a nice “beach club” area, when open.Another important feature is given by the spacious external areas, especially on the sun deck which offers 140 sqm (1506 sq.ft) fully devoted to conviviality and life in the open air: it includes an infinity pool with falls, a dining area served by bar, barbecue and grill and a sunbathing area forward on the same deck. Another outdoor dining area is located aft on the upper deck, while two terraces open on both sides of the cinema room centrally located on this deck. Interiors are contemporary thanks to the great use of materials like onyx and lacquered ebony. Amid ship is a formal winding staircase in steel and leather which is the central element of the entire yacht. Andiamo has a traditional layout, with 5 cabins dedicated to guests on the lower deck. The full-beam master stateroom is located aft on the main deck and includes a dressing room and two separate bathrooms. Performance wise Andiamo is powered by 2 MTU engines 12V4000M63 which allow a comfortable top speed of 16 knots and cruising speed of 12 knots. A cutting edge fully integrated wheelhouse is supplied by Telemar. She is built in the highest class of the Lloyds Register of Shipping and MCA compliant. Andiamo will soon leave the shipyard for the summer cruise in the Med to be then on display in Cannes and Monaco.Baglietto has recently revealed its 50m concept after announcing the sale of the Baglietto 46m Fast Lucky Me to a Mediterranean Owner.
